Weird, that looks a lot like my commuter (but much nicer). Mine is an SS, has anyone here used the Nexus 8-speed internal-geared hub? It would be a great idea for the winter, no gears mucked up with salt/slime/snow.

I'm just wondering, coming from a graphical production background, how many ppl are gonna screw up mounting those stickers. I swear I see an air bubble on the red harlequin rim shot on the site.

Yay for Raleigh Twentys. The saddle hasn't been used, but the B5N is pretty narrow. I also have a twenty that I'm slowly rebuilding, so I can stick it on that when it's ready. Unfortunately I made the mistake of asking my Dad to braze a ring around the top of headtube to reinforce it as I was swapping out the fork. Unfortunately, as father knows best, he decided to MIG weld it instead and made a total hash of it. I need to take it to Maelcum and have him trim and face the headtube now

And I didn't realize the Trek store was where Sport Swap was. I used to do most of my bike shopping there when I lived near Yonge and Eligible.

What are my options for flat or riser bars with a 26mm clamp dia? My primary objective is cheap- they're going to be swap-outs for my TT bars for use in polo

i would say your best bet is to use 25.4 flats you may already have and spend $10 on a stainless nitto shim. save you the hassle of looking around for odd sized bars...

Yeah, I've got some 25.4 risers that I could cut short. Where to get the shim? Keith?

well you can always make your own shim out of a cut up beer can, those serrated round metal things that come in patch kits (to rough up the tire before applying glue) always work too. the nitto shims work the best though because they are the exact size you need etc. i bought some at urbane.

Thanks! I thought for sure the .6mm wouldn't make a difference but they definitely don't clamp when I try to put them on

no problem. i figure if you're building it up ghetto for polo or hacking around a beer can should suffice.

just hand it to the guy at the beer store solid side facing him. or in a bag of cans. or ask for 7 cents back because you only used 3 cents worth.

Um, my fixie's fixed, so I thought I'd join up and say hi. Don't know all the monikers but I can see I know a few of you. If you don't know me, you probably know my bike, which is the little red fixie that was hanging up at Biseagal for about two years with a crushed top tube. It's all better now.

Hi Sarah....was that the old orange bike with the bent top tube? You must be happy to finally get it back. Welcome to the club.

You should put a gps beacon on your bike so we can track you in REAL TIME!
