Damnit, this is what I get for checking the forums late - hope a good time was/is had by all.

shapelike 09-12-07 11:16 PM

Wes, I've got to work this Saturday - I'm off on Sunday now. Sara and I are hitting up the south section of Christie pits (at the school) Sunday morning. She's going to heckle and I'm going to work on cx shiznit before breakfast. Show up if you like and learn wheelies/bunny hops.

Perhaps. Although I was thinking about maybe going for a ride with Wade et al. Now go get me fork/crankset info so I can get MY cross bike up and running. Remember, you need me to give you a ride to the races! :)

Cakepiebeer is my new favourite holiday. That is until we figure out Cakepiebeerhotnakedladies. All in due time. In the meantime, I will be there with pies on.

Not sure if any of you have seen this yet but I cannot stop signing the praises of Flight Of The Conchords. Fire up your clients or use whatever GD browser you'd like to point at http://www.tv-links.co.uk (note: it pops on and off the show list as it gets taken off of public servers so client route is prolly best). Or if you live in the dark ages I think it's available on the TerribleVision @ HBO and TMN.

And finally, some love for your ears: http://youtube.com/user/ronaldjenkees

Ps. Bikes rule & Purolator got an earful this morn :D

shapelike 09-13-07 08:32 AM

DrBenway, what type of doctor?

Wes, that's what I get for glancing at the watch and not processing what hour it was. I'll talk with the boss about that group ride.

I have a meeting with a client at 1:30, but I'll try and swing by before hand. You know, so I can be all wigged out on caffeine and frantic when we meet. :P

May I suggest a double long espresso followed by a Red Bull?

Also: no rock practice on Friday night. There better be a proper safety meeting! :D

As Autumn is upon us, perhaps a casual ride about town followed by a park chill out might be nice? Sadly we won't have the park option soon so might as well get it while the gettin's good?

I_bRAD 09-13-07 11:37 AM

I'm down with a park cruise. One of my favourite things to do!

Truth be told, not a doctor at all - though I did grow up in and around hospitals. In the meat world I am actually a director of ocular confection although I do hold a PHD in Bootiology and an RAD in Drunken-Disordiology ;)

But for the truely interested, I just added a link to where the name comes from to my sig: http://youtube.com/watch?v=_qDP4M2WYAk

Jeremy, sonamb, nice seeing you for a kevin koffner,

I made the leap and now am a proud Brooks owner. Thanks Keith!

Oh boy, if you like honey and are swift, talk to cavernmech NOW!

I can meet you guys for the park component if you have any idea where that may be. I'm starting very light rehab exercises but am probably still about a month away from really riding my bike (two weeks minimum). I could maybe throw some beer in the beermobile. Let me know if you have any idea where you'll end up.

Bram/Tad I'll be there a bit after 8 tonight, probably about 8:30 or so. However long it takes the TTC from Union to Parkdale. Should I bring anything?

Flimflam 09-13-07 03:17 PM

Who mentioned the Rob Roy group buy last safety meet..? Anyways... is anyone going in for this... and is there anyone interested in trying to share shipping fees and junk? I'm *very* tempted to put the deposit down for one but would prefer cheaping out on the S&H if possible.

I should be there tonight..

+1 sounds good, gives me extra reason to clean and put my roadie back together (been on my crappy tire MTB the past couple days).

That was me who mentioned it. Shapelike has one of the frames coming in. If he hadn't gotten the orange I'd be highly tempted to get one for myself. :)

Sorry can't make it tonight bRad - have fun guys.

Hmmm, been thinking of a Brooks for a while now, I'll have to get to Cavern to check them out pre safety ride.

Keith, what time are you planning to close Friday for the ride? I'll swing by before to check out the brooks and perhaps have you reserve one for me until payday rolls around.

So I've been hired to teach Baking this year at Timothy Eaton B.T.I. It's an interesting school to say the least. Most of the kids are special needs, identified disabilities and/or sent there because they couldn't do well enough academically to graduate from any other school. Should work out well, the job is until April, I'm covering a maternaty leave, and will be then be a stay at home dad. Nice location at Warden and Finch. Should be a good ride there and back each day. Going to have to teach the kids how to make those Egg Custard tarts.

Oh yes, there will be pie making, lots and lots of pie. And coffee cake too Dan.

Baking!? you've crossed to the dark side. i wouldn't knock those kids; sounds like the type that make the best (and most) cooks.
