So down at Queen and McCaul today, John Law was checking the bottom bracket on a bike locked to a post with two bystanders. Looks like the new bike registration may be working and someone may be getting their bike back.

Don't forget that tonight is the public meeting with Parks+Rec about the Centennial Park masterplan. The idea is to get more cycling specific items into the masterplan... this *could* ultimately even lead to us getting a velodrome in the GTA, so it's definitely worth heading out there to voice your support. I'm going to go for sure.. not sure whether I'll be riding or driving, it depends on what the weather is like after work.

I have some errands to run this afternoon, and manic is on the list. I will try to time it to be there ~1pm.

So you need just the bike mount? You can use my Thule as long as you have rectangular load bars. You may want to arrange pick-up tonite tho...I prolly wont be available tomorrow.

Thanks guys, I need a Carrier suited for round edit: Yakima bars

Yakima is round, thule is square. And unless they've changed them over the past 7 or 8 years then the thule ones work with either.
Anyhoo... I've got carriers for you that definitely work with the round bars. Front wheel off though.

In related news, today will be the 4th day in a row I'm going to Manic. I've still yet to buy anything there because their bean shipment kept getting delayed!
I'm determined to start going there instead of alternative grounds though, since the faux-bike loving hippies there gave me guff about bringing my bike in with me while I grabbed some beans.

Well maybe I'm being petty, but it's not like I crashed through the front door and caused ****. It was mid afternoon and the place was empty. I carefully set my bike out of the way and was obviously just going to be there for a second while I got some beans. I got a " actually we don't allow bikes in the cafe [/smug]" from the manager so screw them!

I had the folks at Manic tell me 3 times that I *should* take my bike in before I started doing so. I wouldn't do it if I was going there to stay and have a coffee, just when I'm stopping by for a vacuum-flask cup to go.

We've had some pretty serious bike piles @ Manic... They've never once complained but once the pile gets more than 2 or 3 deep I usually grab my bike and take it outside.
