wozers. I may be known as Bumpy Knuckles.. but.. What's up Bumpy Cheek?!
So is there any update to how long he'll be in? I'd like to drop by, but I don't think I'll be able to make it in the next few days due to prior commitments unless there's visiting hours through the evening tonight.

Ooof, man that looks brutal. Thanks for the updates/infoz, nerdsgirth.
TJ - want to meet, or just see you there? I'll be leaving around 5:15 from King/Spadina heading to Queen and across, so I'm a ways off where you are... anyone? Bueller?

Well I need to change at 5 then hit the garage..it'll take me a few minutes to get to Queen/Spadina. Come to think of it I'm stayin' low because Queen/Bathurst is a no-pass zone. Richmond rip... me thinks

I'm going to swing by after classes tomorrow (sometime around 5-7'ish) if he's still in the shop.
I don't know Rob that well, but he sounds like he has a good sense of humour, which is key. I look at that picture and just think "that would be a sweet lavalife photo".

He does have a great sense of humour.
Is that his "I like it rough?" pic?
Glad to see there doesn't appear to be alot of road damage. Hopefully not much nerve damage afterwards. I did a number on some of the nerves in my face when I forcefully introduced an extroverted handrail to my shy, introverted cheek bone. I can still feel it when I get a sinus cold.

Phil and Andrew... rally at our place and head down? Is there a limit to the number of people that can visit at once?

Good call I keep forgetting that. Richmond/Brant at 5:20? We can figure the flow from there.

Richmond and BRant @ 5:20....check (possibly give me a couple more min but sounds good)
...that's the street where my youngest's school is. I'll be in and out pretty quickly this evening as I have an errand to run and then back to the East for Pho with the family. Does he need for anything right now?

TJ and I went along but the ladies (one of which was particularly pleasant on the eyes, IMO
) on the Emerg. desk informed us he'd already gone home about half an hour ago, which is good news.
Now at least he'll be at home resting up.

Hey guys I just got back from the hospital. Thanks for all the well wishes everyone. I still need to see the nuerologist and the plastic surgeon tomrorow. He told me I fractured a bunch of stuff on my face none of which name I can remember.
Thanks for taking me to the ER and staying with me nerdsgirth/herbie_glick and mitch + (sorry if forgot anyone) who took care of me. I don't remember anything that happened after we moved to the EX for sprints.
I had no idea wtf was going on when I woke up in the hospital. The nurses were ftw though. I'll keep you guys updated.

Anyone have 10.5 yet? I see it's out a few places online, but if someone has already downloaded it, it would save me a lot of time.

Oh dude! We were looking from the start and saw someone was down. A few minutes later we looked back and they were still down... we all freaked! Glad you're - relatively - ok. The other dude - Dax I believe - was really concerned as well.
Sending A1 Danpositive vibes your way!
Top notch friending everyone. As Keith said, right down to the on the spot fire fighter/supa fresh Mariononi pista rider. Will and I spoke this eve at the shop and have come up with some ways to give a loose structure that should help ensure everyone's safety.
And I feel pretty strongly that people should be encouraged to wear a lid when racing. However in order to really be effective the community has to help enforce it as a whole. Not to say it's the answer, but this needs to stay fun and we need to increase the odds any way we can. How do you guys feel about that?

Welcome back Rob! Hope you're feeling OK.
In other news... prototype 1 of my new lighting system was completed tonight. The batteries are charging now and I'm gonna be in the countryside tomorrow night for the trial run.
Hopefully I didn't mess up on the calculations and wake up to find a mess of melted plastic and battery acid tomorrow morning!
Turns out my old light (Marwi Nightpro) wasn't working 'cause the cable was shorted somewhere. Too bad 'cause I liked the slick connections and coiling and I wanted to re-use it for this project. Ah well. This time it's done up right with proper soldering instead of crappy crimped connections. They just don't make stuff like they used to!

Good luck w/ the docs tomorrow, Rob.
Btw, I felt inspired after seeing Rob's pic today. After my surgery in January I'm totally borrowing someone's bike for a second and doing the post-surgery no handed trackstand photo. Just picture it: hospital gown, paper slippers, i.v. pole next to the bike ... it'll be perfect.
Of course then I'll tip over, rip my staples out and disembowel myself all over the sidewalk.
... oh my god, the photo potential just got monumentous ... mid-disembowelment no handed trackstand photos.
I think I need to stop now.
Yay Rob!
