1-speed bicycle played an amazing show in Toronto a few years back right after a mogwai show had ended. Mogwai came and got really drunk and started harrassing everyone it was really really funny.
The best offshoot from godspeed remains A Silver Mt. Zion though, all of their albums are masterpieces but their first is possibly the most depressing piece of music eva. I love it.
Just switched over to using mountain bike grips and tape, must say its a much nicer experience when riding up close to the stem, a bit of a pain in the arse to get them on though.

So having rode teh fixed I now realize that
1) My position is way too high on my road bike i.e i'm not horizontal enough, need negative drop stem
2) **** gears
3) Aer0bars FTW
4) My frame maybe 1-2cm too big?
5) Brakes FTL

1. Have fun
2. Try not to kill yourself (very important, easy to do at first)
3. Hope you get hooked riding fixed
4. Hope your road bike gets better but not soon!
Cheers

edit: changed my mind. Thought it was the tankhouse at first, but now that I think about it, I think it's the stock ale.

If anyone (read beer donators) are thinking of dropping by I am gone to the O-Cup Mtn. bike race today at 3. I got a really nasty charlie horse crashing on Thursday but am gonna try and suck it up and race even tho I have a hard time walking up stairs at the moment. All who are doing the Ride for Heart tomorrow....have a blast and watch out for those rookie/newbies out there....including Operator.

See! Your efforts weren't all for not. I'll be dt most of the day then head over after grabbing dinner somewhere. That reminds me, New Generation has been open since Mother's Day. We were there last week and the food was as good as always. Decor is brighter.
If you're in the Annex check out the photo exhibit at Curbside, on until June 8.
