That doesn't seem to be working for me. Although it does say something about GPS sucking in the footer of the interface.

I always liked when they get excited on climbs and describe the guy riding. I seem to remember some freak-outs about Contador "dancing on the pedals". Love it.

If you can handle the vapid stares and smarmy guffaws we will let it pass.
Most of the good malts in Scotland are bottled for export. If she picks one up direct from a distillery, you pretty much can't go wrong.

P.s. I *HEART* white bikes. Very classy.

i found an abandoned bike outside my apartment building today, it kind of looked like it had been stolen and someone was coming back for it (no lock, thrown haphazardly into snowbank along a secluded walkway). i already posted a notice on craigslist. what else should i do?

Man those wheels look *nuts* on there, jet - lovely looking ride.

I just rode by the wreckage on Queen West, in a tragic way it's very beautiful with the icicles, etc. - but **** it's a mess...

PS. MEC wins the prize again - I lost the part of the clasp to my QR headlight, and they gave me a new one for the price of a lungful of air... love that store.

Can you ride across Queen, or did you ogle it from Bathurst? Just saw Gary on the news saying he'd be back.

Suitcase of courage. "The Leaky Gas rider is reaching deep into his suitcase of courage!" Phil is getting a bit slow....and Versus/OLN seems to be turning him into a cliched shell of his former self...but there are still few guys that can do it as well as he can.

I went by the carnage this afternoon...did I mention I was out riding around all day in the glorious sunshine?....and I was stunned by the damage. Duke's is literally nothing but a huge hole. If Gary is indeed gonna rebuild that is gonna be one SUPER-SWEET ***** place.

The funny thing is distillery's actually bottle the water from the same spring as the whisky water came from. For the true sucker....I mean connoisseur.

I've been in this same situation two times in the past and did exactly what you did. After a week I reposted the ad and did that again for about another two weeks, since no one replied with the correct description. Other than what you have done, there isn't much else to do except give it to the cops and they will auction it off on eBay eventually.

edit: maybe in your posting be less specific about the model number of the Fuji? Just say "Fuji" perhaps? One of the bikes I found was a CCM and I just wrote "CCM" in the ad. The sad thing is that I got about 50 emails from people, that is a lot of stolen CCMs....

I'll likely be bringing a Caol Ila cask strength or something else from the stock.

Jet, if you want your mom to buy scotch, first check how much she's allowed to bring back duty free. Then check the lcbo pages to see what's here (buy something you can't get here), then check these pages for some recommendations:

https://www.maltmadness.com/hitlist.html (ignore some. Port Ellen's, for example, are usually around $300 CAD) [edit, mind you the Port Ellen distillery is closed, I think ,so if she can get one cheap, get me one too!]
https://www.maltmadness.com/value.html
https://www.whisky-pages.com/notes.php

You probably won't get a great deal on prices for scotch but you'll have access to stuff you can't get here. You could also go for some vatted malts that aren't available here. Sheep dip pretty good and is fun to wheel out when friends are over.

Me = Glenmorangie, although I *may* pick up something new tomorrow. I have no idea what, though. If there's anything the LCBO has that you guys have been wanting to try, let me know. I'm laughing in advance at your suggestion of that $30000 one listed on the LCBO website. I'm thinking something nice and peaty/smokey might be nice, based on our previous tastings.

For those of you not part of the Ice Race group on Facebook, I just got this message on there from Leah:

Subject: Check this out!

A really talented photographer from Reuters, Mark Blinch, came out and took some awesome shots. He interviewed our Ice Champ, Jim "Ice Bear" Kuz and created this piece.

Enjoy!!

Some great photos in there including one of me when I went down in my 3rd race.. d'oh!

If you go up to Summerville Lickbo, they always have a few different ones in the tasting room..like $3-5 for a sample.

Sidewalk on the north side of Queen is open, so I went along there - the road technically closes at Augusta.

Good news to hear that from Gary!

I'm definitely in for tomorrow (tonight technically. *sigh* this morning is going to suck...).

What time Keith?

Jet the bike looks amazing! It will be nice to meet you. I usually just see you whiz by on a familiar looking bike...

Ooooooh CANADA!!!!!

Six-time Canadian National Road Champion Dominique Rollin (CAN) of the Toyota-United Pro Cycling Team made history today as he powered away to an impressive solo victory in Stage 4 of the 2008 Amgen Tour of California. Weather hammered the peloton for nearly seven hours as the stage took riders down the California coast from Seaside to San Luis Obispo on an impressive and challenging course. Defending champion Levi Leipheimer (USA) of Astana was able to retain the overall lead and will wear the Amgen Leader Jersey going into the individual time trial in Solvang tomorrow.

“Last time I raced in such tough weather, I won the stage,” said Rollin, referring to a stormy day in Quebec’s 2005 Tour de Beauce. “The worse it is, the better I am. When the wind came, I said keep it coming.”

I hear that. Must be my Newfie upbringing. I was actually hoping for more nasty wet weather during the CX season, but the only sloppy race was provincials. I was actually just reading about yesterday's stage too. The break he started stayed away for 204km, and he soloed in. Nice one. He said he had a 40 second gap with 10km to go and knew he was the strongest guy in the break. That's gotta be a nice realization after all that work.

You know it's killer race when folks are dropping out with signs of hypothermia.
