Oh dude... I'm sooooo sorry! I called Daniel as soon as I heard. I'm totally dumb struck. That was the last block of old Queen W. The final nail in the coffin.
And I cannot imagine what Mr. Duke will go through when he sees the store he's worked almost all of his 80 or so years. I was just in there on the weekend chatting with Derek and Gary. Brutal.
Oh and speaking of the 1904 fire, this is my absolute FAVOURITE and cannot stop watching since I found it - ironically - just a few weeks ago: https://www.toronto.ca/fire/news/100/index.htm

Thanks for all the advice guys. Mindy will be making the appropriate complaints (thanks for the #'s and offer Dave) I am just gonna stay away from the place and appreciate y'all puttin' the word on the street. They actually have in their Liquor License Application right now...I wonder how the charming crew in there will be when they get a few pints in em.

I rode by that bike shop in the Annex (I can never remember the name) and they have one of the Fuji Obey bikes in the window and it doesn't look all that bad. I am sure it is pretty expensive but I kinda like it....bearing in mind that I have a black/gold bike already, I guess that is no surprise.
I was in Urbane a little while ago and one of the mechanics and I were talking about my bike and he seemed to think the rims I had were Mavic Open Pros. We got to talking about the rims because they haven't needed a truing in years and they are still true. There are no stickers on the rims at all but they are super-solid rims, aero, grey-anodized and laced to 105 hubs. Anyone know if there is a serial number or something inside the rim? They were on a Gardin bike that I purchased years ago for a girlfriend....32flavs has that frame now.

On a lighter note, I have some HED wheels. There has been a discussion with my friends on how to pronounce the company's name. Is it Hed like heed the way, or Hed like head?

I've always just assumed it was pronounced like "head". Speaking of which, I've been oggling these: https://www.hedcycling.com/ardennes.php. mmm.. 23mm wide and lightweight. Wish I could try 'em out. Maybe there'll be a set at the bike show..?

I vote that the next scotch party takes place in the hot tub.
Of course, now I'm thinking about the SNL skit with Will Ferrell and I'm both laughing and a little freaked out at the prospect of sharing a hot tub with this crew..
https://www.funnyordie.com/videos/58c273a4f9Also: lunar eclipses happen way too often for me to get that excited about staring out my window at them, particularly when it's nasty cold out, but also when I'm downtown in a large urban center.
