I might have a few demos made up to show around. But what do women want in a bike or frame? Im assuming not a pink bike, right? probably more a blue or a red? Are shorter top tubes the only difference? Do you chicks want a "women specific" fixed gear frame? My girlfriend really wants a pink bike. Hell, I'd like a pink bike! |
Repaint your cyclops in pink... haha!
|
Pink.. and a red tire for the front right?
Tahnks for the link wasted, the seat tube angle on those are about 74.5 thats not too off from road, head tube though is 75..hmm I would love a link to the actual geometry spec sheet. I cant copy that frame exactly ie: triple triangle, but I can work something out. A run down on the geometry per size would really help. |

The only thing better than riding a pink bike is riding one vicariously through your cute girlfriend :D |
Also any links to frames..preferably steel with curved seat tube.
Id consider making a compact frame option, but doesnt seem like that is in too high demand. Another option instead of a compact frame is to extend the seat tube, and the headtube slightly. Im not sure that would look so great but it would keep the classic lines while allowing for a bit more standover. |

Pink bike..hm so thats what you call hipster style?
I wonder if my shiny green metalic caloi qualifies. That reminds me of a story, I have no idea why I did this and I should consider doing it again. If CAVERNMECH remembers this, im sure he will say "oh god" Now this is hip before hip, back in early 90s I had a miele that was mostly covered in chiquita banana stickers. That was a pretty famous bike, it toured to NYC, people took pictures with it. Unfortunely it died one day on the way to Shannons aka cycle courier bike shop? head tube totally snapped all the way around. I rmember buying bananas covered with as many stickers as I could get. It was tough going shopping with Rod and doing that because he would always shake his head or pretend not to know me. Lol Do you remember the chiquita bike CAVERNMECH? Now CAVERNMECH had the coolest of bikes.. before it was even an idea to do this..wow we certainly were the visionaires back then. He had a single speed BLUE STUMPJUMPER? Man that was trick.. It was steel of course, It had cartridge hubs etc.. |
Re: curved seat tube ...
The old KHS Aerotrack comes to mind (link has geometry specs): http://www.sheldonbrown.com/images/khs-track.gif http://72.14.203.104/search?q=cache:...a&ct=clnk&cd=6 |
Got a question:
I thought Performance Bicycle used UPS to ship Canadian orders, but all I see on their site is FedEx. If FedEx is really what they use, does anyone know if they have any obnoxious international shipping fees like UPS? |
Yes eyefloater. You will get gayed to the max with Fedex. I did hear that performance switched to USPS but that's uncomfirmed.
On an $80 order I placed last year, I got dinged a total of $40 on top of that after customs/brokerages/duties. Twas fedex ground. www.Probikekit.com ftw |
Oh riiight ... Come on, last year's Adidas mtb shoes.

my chain seems to have stretched all of a sudden.. what's up with that? :) Suddenly in the past week it doesn't seem to line up with the chainring teeth and it's gotten super noisy. I assume that == chain stretch.
Guess I'll pick up a new one! |
Did you like it when I gave you the finger today on Harbord? Well, DID YOU MOTHER****ER?!

Most likely... the contours may be spaced a little wider but that shouldn't really matter. I haven't really used the GIS library that much |
oohh... tell us some more interesting stories!
