Since you are now and employee of our crappy institution. Here is my list of demands.
Fix our schools webpages (utterly useless atm), here's a list of annoyances (pretty please).
1) Inconsistent layout
2) Other than letterhead fluff information, it is impossible to find links to current deparmtnet course webpages and other information like exam/summer timetables from utorontos main page. Nor is there a central place to find older years of this information.
3) ROSI web services has ridiculous "hours of operation". It does not take 6 hours a day to "backup the db" or whatever lame excuse they came up with.

In short even though the internal search engine changed from some no good vendors implementation to googles, our website is still completely and utterly useless. I think someone needs to do a serious usability evaluation on our website.

Oh and my 8k a year tuition is paying for this so do good job! (j/k).

Im curious about these OSLO bikes, what did they do to exactly Cavernmech? Did you actually have any of their frames?

Id like some comments on my proposed specs for the new frames

- 4 sizes 51, 54, 57, 60. Probably with slightly extended seat tube.
- chainstays 16 to 16.5 inches
- Flat top tubes, no sloping
- Angles.. is prefered more road angles? ie 72-72, 72-73?
- bb hieght 12 inches or is 11.5 more prefered?
Heres the pro and cons of bb hieght. The taller you go you lose standover clearance, however a taller bb
allows for use of longer crank arms ie a 170.

I don't know what the difference in the angles would entail exactly, but I personally prefer a little less aggressive stance, getting old. I'd prefer the higher BB so more cranks COULD work, giving the frame a road/track ability. I'm in the sizing range so that works for me. Polly, those dropouts are dead sexy.

Not that I'm in the market for a new bike, but smaller sizes catering to tiny people such as myself would be lovely. But I do understand that the market for tiny bikes is not huge, so it doesn't make much sense to make tiny frames.

I once had the whole "hours of operation" with ROSI explained to me in mind-numbing technical detail for a story i was writing. Suffice it to say there is a good reason for it to happen but mostly because UofT hasn't spent any money on decent backbone servers for anyone outside of Engineering and MedSci for a very long time. And there is a good security concern considering that if the system isn't on overnight it makes it much more difficult to skulk around in it unnoticed.

I found UofT to be fine until they tried to use www.turnitin.com and I had to threaten legal action in order to avoid having to use it. 'Course I was in about the smallest program on the campus so that probably made it easier. The key to getting anything done I found was flirting with the secretaries because that was where the real power was. They knew exactly how to get anything done and would help you but only if they liked you.

I should go back and finish up my last year, but unlike what everyone tells you a B.A. is worth about as much as a flatus in most businesses. Its all experience and in my business getting experience only requires writing and recording stories.

That's not bad. Is it possible to mask various parts? The back half of the rear triangle is chrome. I think they end up baking your frame in an oven right?

Har! I *wish* I was cool enough to ride that bike. But I'm not, and that's just something I'll have to learn to live with... *wistful sigh* If anyone cares though, I'm currently riding a 43 cm frame. I could probably stand to go a smidge bigger, but the availability of these sizes was conspicuously absent when I bought my bike.

They did basic masking for me of my dropouts when I had my frame done. You can see pictures here.

Small size frames. I been thinking about that and maybe a range made for women, that would depend on demand though.

I do have few of the original frames left in small, c to c 44?. They have sloping top tubes. The new batch wont.

4 sizes but not sloping or compact? Sounds like a problem. You will exclude a fair amount of people who fall between these sizes. With the impetus these days on a proper fitting bike, you may want to consider 6 sizes...52-60 cm in 2 cm increments. 3 cm increments sounds a bit much to me.

Sizing... well sloping top tube doesnt interest people.

6 sizes? If there was enough demand that might be possible, for now its 4 sizes. Those fit most people.
The top tube lengths will be 51 gets a 52 top tube, 54 gets a 54 top tube, 57 gets a 56, 60 gets a 58 top tube.
I guess the smaller of the 4 could have a touch longer 51 could have 52.5, 54 could get a 55 top tube.

The 54 and 57 would be most popular. The 60 might do fairly well considering I got alot of requests for a big frames. Although some could use a longer top tube on the 60..ie a 60 top tube or longer. 58cm should fit alot of people.

If I do them with a sloping top tube, people will turn up their nose. Unless the market has caught up with my design. I doubt it.

regarding frames, slopping top tube and road geometry: I am only a single opinion but I like tighter 'race/track' geometry. Road geometry I can get anywhere. But I've always lusted for frames like the older KHS Flite with 'forward' sloping top tube or the GTB tack frames that angle the seat tube back to make for a shorter wheelbase...

Not crazy about sloping forward frames. I thought about curving the seat tube to tuck the back wheel in more.

What about head angle, ill probably stick with road because as much as you think you want overlap. The first time u whack your foot on your wheel you will be cursing me.
