I have no idea. I'm assuming it's safe.

Edit: Apparently the servers are hosted by thepiratebay so it seems safe.

A shop in MPLS called One On One. The whole ordeal was a huge headache though, so I wouldn't advise trying to go that route. In fact, Wil called there a couple weeks ago asking about getting a bike shipped too and they basically told him they weren't interested.

Yep, Brock/Bloor West. Pretty sure they still have them in the window there.

I stayed out in Whitby last night, won't be back in the big sh1tty until later on, weather's looking up and I'm edging to go get a new chain tool so I can at least do more than a brakeless run-bike/dandyhorse my Rob Roy

I was in Broadway Cycle the other week asking about Bianchis. They don't carry any (maybe one or two...?) Bianchis in store/stock. You can buy a Bianchi through them, but it's an extra $250-300 because Bianchi has changed their policy about delivery costs or something.

Didn't seem worth it to me...

i might just import it myself then, i'm looking at the Via Nirone frame with 105 group. i wanted to give it a ride first though, and buy locally if possible, but i guess neither are possible.

i'm tempted to go with the 57 and i could always shorten the stem, given that it's compact geometry i'm not too concerned about anything else

I don't think Bianchi Corporate has changed their policy, but rather the new CDN rep (goto Bianchi's site and lookup dealers). I contacted him as to getting an Italian spec D2.... Both Op and I got the shady vibe from this joker, I felt like he was trying to be a national rep from his basement... not organized at all. So I will venture a guess that if you order a Bianchi .. you ARE paying to have it shipped from Italy or where ever. Normally a dealer rep would have bought a bunch to populate his stores in Canada and had them shipped over. 250-300bones? Bullocks!!

IMHO any Bianchi should come with all campy bits.... hell, all bikes should, but especially an Italian bike.

lol - https://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/tor/bik/641988429.html

This was on sale for $99 at Canadian Tire this past weekend, that's two I've seen in the past two days for almost $100 over $99 Gotta love people trying to get in on a deal.

Looks like I'm picking up another trail-a-bike, this one is complete so I'll have a 'spare' of sorts.

Op - you guys only open until 6 right?

I wouldn't do it personally. You could do a lot better on a similar bike by another manufacturer. It's a pretty big headache to ship a single bike across the border because the boxes are generally too big for regular parcel post, so you have to ship via a private courier and that's $$$$$$. Unless you can ship it someplace in the USA and pick it up yourself and bring it back across the border. That's what I did (to a friend of a friend's house).

Why are you so stuck on the Bianchi? There are a lot of nice aluminum+carbon bikes available locally for decent prices, without the hassle, and with the ability to test ride before you buy.. Canondale, Argon-18, Specialized, Kona, Felt, etc.

Also, buy a cross bike.

ps. I'm fully aware that I did exactly what I'm advising you not to do, but that's part of the point. I know the hassles I had. Plus nobody else made a nice ss 'cross bike with discs.

i'm not too concerned with the shipping from this one place, it's like $70 for worldwide express, which includes the brokerage and the deals are real good ... i expect that part to be pretty hastle free

i'm definitely not stuck on bianchi, i just really like the bianchi frames/style and the groups this place has are good deals

i'll be checking out local stuff regardless and i'm definitely concidering a cross bike aswell, since it's more versatile ... i'm still in the early stages of shopping but i'd like to get something ordered in the next week or two

Took the bike out for its maiden voyage, had a lot of fun. It needs a better cassette cog (the one on it now is prone to chain-droppage/OTB-to-commando-rolling crashes into the bushes). Aside from that, there were moments of giddiness and spots on the ridge trail that I've never made it through before but did today. Huzzah. Now if I can just get the ol' dropsy cog issue sorted out so I can trust the bike, I'll be set.
