ALERT!! Stolen beloved saddle.
My Chopped Black Brooks B17 on a silver SR post got ripped off this morning at Robarts.
Ironically my cable got stolen a week earlier which I used to run through the saddle, rear wheel and into my ulock.
Please keep an eye out for it.
Thanks,

Aieee, rough break - was that the same one I saw last year you cut down yourself? I tend to notice Brooks saddles as routine, I'll definitely keep an eye out for it.
DSR tonight? I might swing by the CMWC art show opening.. dunno yet.

That is the one. Thanks to Nadir at La Carrera for lending me a post and saddle so I can get through the day in moderate comfort!

Newsflash: Vancouver is cold and grey. Despite that I'm still bopping around on my bike today. Totally wired on caffeine right now. Planning the rest of my day at a cafe. Oddly enough I walk into here and totally freak out Philip (formerly of Manic) who's been living here for the past 3 months.
Meeting the Kaiser Bros at the Burnaby velodrome at 5:00. Whoop.

Pics! pics!
Have fun out there
As a slightly related aside - do you need a passport to fly within Canada? I'm in the process of getting Canadian citizenship, but still have my EU passport for 'proper' ID.

Anybody else annoyed at the fact that there are no online bike shops based out of Canada? (That I can find.) All the wheelsets on ebay are priced ok, but it's $65 S&H plus Canadian customs tax! It's ridiculous.
I decided deep vs weren't worth the $$$ so Mavic CXP22s were my next best bet. Anybody in toronto sell a wheelset with those, or equivalent?

so I was heading down to OP to see if I could make the tail end of DSR, and passed a bunch of guys outside the Nestle plant on Sterling & Dundas that looked like they just left from the ride - didn't stop though. Alas, it wasn't meant to be - there was no one at Ontario Place, so I headed up Bathurst, where some d-bag on a Kona JTS got it into his mind that I wanted to race him. He then proceeded to blow though every light between King and College. Good going buddy!

In the meantime for all of those of you that still have your precious saddles - I've been gluing ballbearings into the hex heads of my seatpost collars for a while and haven't had a seat stolen since... You can gouge them out when you need to adjust but it just provides a little "awwwwwww **** it" type deterrent for a potential thief.

Ok, just read Matt's blog - is there a new place for the sprints yet, or still with the group rides?
