Hey good news for all youse who want a "fixie".... I was talking to only who I can assume is uncle jacob (I couldn't hear half of what he was saying cause he was eating a sub). After trying to bargain him down hundreds of dollars for a bike for a buddy... he was happy to tell me that he was getting a couple hundred "columbus" frames with "flip flop" hubs and is going to be offering a building course. Awesome/WTF?

Went to Durham forest yesterday, It dumped for about 30 mins then cleared up for an epic ride on the new 29er. Simply amazing. Oh btw Somnamb, I rode with your competition at the worlds SS (Tristan) who also went for a road ride earlier that morning

isnt uncle jacob a well known re-seller of stolen bikes? either way, i do not think i would trust the "columbus," "flip flop," or "building course" elements of his story.

Specialized stumpy comp 29 through Bikesports Newmarket. I didn't have a chance to take a pic before I got er all muddy. So damn fast. The other guys all got misfits 29 ss so they make me feel like a dork cause I have to change gears... just can't win. Whatever, I don't want to hear any crying cause you can't climb certain hills.

Oh common. Maybe he has had a consultant come in to greenwash his image.

Holy crap!!! I love how the one announcer is saying "blah blah Sam has been training hard" or whatever and the other guy is like "OH MY GOD THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!". I just don't understand how that is humanly possible. Wow. Just wow.

Drunken movie ordering on CMWC weekend leads to the following being found on my doorstep this morning when I got home:

Pedal
American Flyers
Breaking Away
2 Seconds
Quicksilver
Red Light Go
Hell on Wheels

So I now have a bunch of bike/related movies, so whenever movie night is (maybe I'll clean my hellhole up and host!) I have a few. Also have a '416' Toronto alleycat compilation (from Aryeh) and the MASH /Bootleg Sessions discs too.

Bikes: Menonite black urbanite, probably enough spare parts to make anther one.

nice - i've been wanting to see quicksilver and red light go since it came out. i just got a new large screen tv and have ample seating should you need an alternative venue for this movie night....

Nice jer, maybe we'll have to put something together soon - I've only the 19" monitor to go with at my place.

TJ you have any clips/footage from your cam to showcase? Mine is mostly all unchopped still.

PS. Happy Canada Day everyone! I'm gonna go cruise to the east side I think, and get some eats somewhere in the core.

We were out watching fireworks and then realized that all the bats had been flushed out of the nearby trees. National Lampoon-style hilarity ensued and I'm safely inside now. The bats ate Sara.
