Competitively no, but technically yes. Ive been trying to become a more flexible trail rider and im adapting some trials techniques into my repetoire.

YMMV, but I really like the Castelli bibs. They're super soft and nice. Not everyone is built the same though, so one person's favorite brand might not be anothers (kinda like saddles). My Giordana stuff is nicer, but it's also more expensive and harder to get around these parts. Clearly I prefer fine Italian cycling clothing however.. ;) (oh, and my shoes are SIDIs :P)

lol my shoes are chuck taylors, very tattered chuck taylors. that will provide you with an idea of my budget preferences :P. I think these shorts were found somewhere in a winners years ago.

I got my bike today. I can't get used to the longer cranks (172.5)! I might have to switch to 170's these just feel weird. The bike fits so well though, so once I get it dialed in it's going to be awesome. I said I'd post pics but i'm tired and will take a nap instead. I'm going to do it soon though honest.

You should really talk to Phil at Cycle Therapy. He's a friendly guy and basically always up for a ride. I don't know that I've ridden with a better bike handler (who also raced downhill and cross country back in the day), so you two can probably have a good time on some stuff around the neighbourhood or on the trails. Phil's prone to breaking bikes because of some of the stuff he'll try but it'll definitely be good times until something explodes. ;)

Urbane generally has track in stock. Don't buy a cheap cog, your hub will thank you.

There's not a lot of online places in Canada. I generally order from Probikekit (www.probikekit.com) in the UK which has free shipping to Canada. I've rarely been burned on duty. Best stuff to get there IMO is tires. They also carry Miche and Dura-ace track stuff. I've also purchased from Nashbar but got dinged on duties. The deal has to be pretty good for me to go to Nashbar. I've also ordered online from various bike shops online. The big trick is to get USPS if you can. FedEx or other couriers drill you on cross-border warehousing fees.

And in other news, I have a five channel digital answering machine and a 0.9 GHz cordless phone set with 2 handsets to give away.

Hopefully next week, should get it finished around 10th-12th of August. I need to get a few things next week and then have it properly fitted, steerer tube cut etc.. Going to be fixed mtb with 2" tires and drops.

How does the Flite compare to the Fuji Track Pro? I'm looking to get my brother in law a new ride, and the componentry/price seem marginal given the quality difference here assuming the KHS is equal/better to the Fuji (was looking at Bikes on Wheels in Kensington for those @ ~$450).
