Bikes: Menonite black urbanite, probably enough spare parts to make anther one.

i think i'm too tapped out this year to go partying. i'm thinking of just making some pasta watching a movie and being in my jammies right after midnight. although a rolling-party sounds like fun too.

New Years I've no idea about. I'm another schmo who got roped into working this week, so I probably won't be hamming it up too much.

I just spent the past 5 days drinking from wake to pass-out, so I'm OK with not partying too hard

Passed 9000km last week, a tad shy of the big 10, but not bad - it averages around 1125km/month. She's done well so far, considering.

Haha... I totally wussed it tonight, with that wind I just took the train to Exhibition, 6km < 1000km

Got blown about pretty well in liberty village, never come so close to getting knocked off by wind before, that's for sure

Well, I missed Keith by 15min at CS, but I ended up buying a 54cm Major Jake frameset, FSA headset, and Shimano canti brakes. Took it home and *ignorantly* started to install BB cups. Thought to myself: this is tougher that I remember... oh... fuuuc.... this has to be chased and faced, right? ****. So, I screwed the threads on an otherwise good set of BB cups and might have damaged a new scandium frame. I am a fool. Taking the frame back to CS to hopefully have them install new cups after chasing and facing.

hopefully you would have just chewed into the paint if the frame hasn't been chased and faced yet.

Those frames usually come prepped. As long as you didn't force it in too far, it should be fine. Patience young grasshopper...patience.

I am off on my mini winter vacation to the Muskokas and yes I am bringing a bike. Just realized the other day that this will be the biggest chunk of time off I have had since I broke my back 5 years ago. GOOD TIMES! Happy New Year to all the B.F. peeps.

Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink
The years go by, as quickly as you wink
Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think

Hello, I'm Terry, and I'm going to enjoy myself first

It's good to be wise when you're young
'Cos you can only be young but the once
Enjoy yourself and have lots of fun
So glad and live life longer than you've ever done

Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink
The years go by, as quickly as you wink
Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think

Never right, yes I know
Get wisdom, knowledge and understanding
These three, were given free by the maker
Go to school, learn the rules, don't be no faker
It's not wise for you to be a foot stool

Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink
The years go by, as quickly as you wink
Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think

In this case, I don't think it was. After checking out the BB, I noticed it wasn't faced; there's a fair amount of paint on there.

The best toonie I have spent in ages was at the car wash today; my drivetrain was nasty and I had forgotten what the bike looked like under the grime.

Well if anyone else joins up we can do that, and maybe stop at a bar somewhere on the way. Weather should be calm in the evening.

Oh, yeah... My Major Jake is coming together so nicely. All I need now is a new chain, one shift cable, and a cable hanger for the headset. This is gonna be too good.

JW, I'm down with the meetup tomorrow after work.

Might also be down for the ride.

Wind was pretty rough from the north today, but the right clothing will have you set just fine - it's just a bit brisk when you first get out there.

Work on NYE boo-urns.

What freaky act of nature and timing would make it possible to ride snow on the main streets like the side streets had today. I love that snow, I just wish I had longer roads of it to ride on. hmmm I wonder what The Spit is like.

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEITH!!!
Here's to massive happiness and successes all round.

I am extremely grateful for '08.

letsee......

Roman and Parisian vacation with the family that ended with seeing the Tour finish. Definitely a possible once in a lifetime trip though hopefully not.
Having my bathroom "home makeovered" by my sister-in-law while we're away.

FSA carbon Superlight + Ti BB courtesy of Krusty. I still can't believe my luck.
The insane deal I got on the Bianchi ... which hopefully will allow me to further develop a proper business.

To all my BF buds, be safe, have a good one, and looking forward to many more rides in '09.
Races even?

Working tonight at Muzic was at the very least attractive. Anyone who has been there will know what I mean. And to the girl who felt the urge to adjust her top by removing her breasts then tucking them back in, thank you.

Happy New year all.
