I think that strictly speaking, one should legally collect + pay taxes on private sales, but no one does. (You're also supposed to report it as income when paying taxes, but that's another matter).
Also - MSRP on Zaffiro Pros is $30 US, so about $80 CAD including tax.
Also missing from the last line of the ad - "Won't last long.... (as a white tire)"

My boyfriend just built one! We live at Harbord & Spadina.
Coolio, welcome. He built it for you or him?
Wasn't someone looking for a Marinoni recently? Here is one for $400 in St. Catherines....

Built a fixed gear? Cool... welcome, are you riding or is he? What kind of riding do you do? Are you generally new to riding or just getting into the "scene" more?
In other news I think my hub bearings are due for a replacement... how easy is that isht? My front is a formula and rear is an IRO, I don't know but I'm assuming they're both cartridges.

ive tried searching this, but no avail
is it possible to put a QR axle on a formula hub?

you can replace the axle with a hollow axle, add a qr skewer and you're set
you'll just need to make sure you get the right threading and the right length, maybe get a shop to do it?

Front or rear? If rear, I'm gonna say no (and I suspect front is the same) -- the axle looks like this:

The cartridge bearings are a loose press fit on the shiny parts marked 10 mm + butt up against the "shoulder", with locknuts holding everything in place.. I doubt you can find a hollow axle with the same specs. Maybe find a friend with a drill press + a very sharp bit?

yeah its for my front. high-flange radial spoking looks so dope on 80's road bikes.
i wasn't sure how these axles look like from inside the hubs, if i come up with something i'll let you all know!

Also worth noting that Formula makes some cup+cone hubs as well.. so post a pic/figure out what kind of hardware is in there!

If the bearings were a reasonably tight fit on the axle threads, you could cut a sleeve to 78mm (shorter for the front) and use it as a bearing spacer.

Sidis bought. They better last longer than 1 year.

All I can say is have "ride" shoes and commuting shoes. I've got a new pair of Sidis on order but I'm also going to find something to ride to/from work in. I'm sick of blowing up expensive shoes.
Anyone seen these around town?

They're SixSixOne Filters. I'm after the SPD-compatible version (looks the same, accepts cleats).

I think Wes has a similar pair by Shimano. Completely agree on having more than one set of shoes. I might just keep my old Specialized shoes around for commuting; either that or some clips+straps.

I've never been a fan of those, actually. The laces cover is a bit much.

I use Cannondale Roams for most of my utility riding - seeing as my Sidi's (road, not MTB) are just plain impractical for anything BUT riding, I don't wear them unless I don't have to go walk about. Learned that the hard way last week by wearing them to work. Most inconvenient clip-clopping about on the GO train and station stairs.

Someone needs to take a pair of chuck taylor's, reinforce the sole (and everything else actually) and make them SPD compatible and they'll make a bajillion dollars for sure.

Actually thought I was following tam for a few mins this morning but quickly realised it wasn't her.
Saw a bunch of guys up around St. Clair/Lansdowne looking to be on some sort of training ride, waiting for others at the south end of the cemetary there.
Nice enough out there considering the temperature was supposedly -1, though - can't wait 'til the ride home in apparent +11, woo.
