Curbside, if I've heard right from others. And ya, today was insane over in the east end as well.

Did anyone else form up in an impromptu mini-peloton today during their commute? I had a great time joining up with groups of riders and taking over the road. Seeing so many cyclists out on the streets was pretty awesome (it seems like the best days in Toronto frequently coincide w/ "disasters" ... ie. blackout/transit strike).

TRaffic Jammer 05-29-06 06:18 PM

People acting like a community, and not falling apart into chaos...... I'm so happy to be Canadian.

STEEKER 05-29-06 06:30 PM

somnambulant 05-29-06 07:51 PM

pps. if anyone sees flyers for goldsprints/alleycats/whatever, post it in here, huh? :) I rarely pay attention to flyers anymore, so I never notice when stuff is happening.

cavit8 05-29-06 07:52 PM

Got any beets?

Shiznaz 05-29-06 08:09 PM

f1junkie, please don't try to sell stuff here... You've made a really terrible first impression. Don't try be clever; just use craigslist.

I hated the strike today... it was absolute chaos in the financial district... so many cars out in gridlock idling, I was hacking my lungs out, and there was barely any room to get down the road so I was riding in between lanes and jumping up onto teh sidewalk and people were opening their doors everywhere. Some idiot got himself stranded right in the pedestrian crossing at bay and front and I accidentally hit his car with my bike as I walked it by. He yells crazy profanities at me, so I yell some back and tell him he is an idiot for blocking the intersection. Then he tells me to come over to his car and I tell him to get out of his car and come to me. He doesn't so I yell some final profanities and ride home in the haze of posion dodging all the more angry and inexperienced auto commuters.

cavit8 05-29-06 08:25 PM

AGGGHHH!!!!! you're turned into a suit!!!!

as i heard them called on CBC yesterday: "stationary bike sprints" (it sounded funny *at the time*...or, more likely, i am just easily amused).

traffic dodging today was pretty damn fun.

the only thing I hate is when you ride through a cars exhaust and it suddenly gets 30 degrees hotter for that split second

I think people uh perished in most of that video... Who the hell remixes something like that with music.

STEEKER 05-29-06 10:10 PM

Hey I found another seat post from Cycle Solutions that has double set screws for tiltadjustment maybe that will cure the crotch pain

operator 05-29-06 10:33 PM

Well it looks like I won't be #6666, sleeping now (earliest in like years).

sr20det 05-29-06 10:39 PM

you should try a harder/stiffer saddle.
sounds like something that goes against logic. but it works.
saddles w/ gel padding and stuff is usually the worst for you. only useable for short distances.

Ill Mitch 05-29-06 11:37 PM
