TJ - i can't see anyting wrong with those nikes; the colour isn't all that garish. once they get dirty they'll look a little less bringht. i'm not mad on nikes though as i managed to rip a cleat right out of the shoe (the sole coming with it), with normal riding.

do i smell an east side vs west side bicycle rumble coming on (a la fight scene from "Anchorman: the legend or ron burgundy")? |

Jammer, I've been eyeing that cheese shop. I'll have to spin in and buy them out of stock. And the bikes are still in a pile :( I'll likely be selling the bianchi grizzly as a city commuter and the brodie electro as what it is, freeride. That and once I get working on my parts bins should clear things up immensely. Now if I can only find a place to put my squirt boat. |

I was in one shop and the guy's tellin me how I simply HAVE to have a pair of riding shoes for summer and winter, and I'm 'Dude what planet do you live on, you're tryin' to sell me shoes that cost half what I paid for my bike.' Must be nice. |
So sidis ftw?

I liked the Times for 139$, but not alot of footing for when I do have to take to a step.

Must be nice. oh and operator is right, sidis are a good choice if you can find them on sale. EDIT: in my opinion, Specialized shoes are great value. similar in construction to sidis and the higher-end ones but much less. just ditch those "body-geometry" insoles they come with. they're meant to me "ergonomic" but they just give me cramps. |
Where do you purchase thicker soles for sidis? I need some. I think my shoes maybe 1/2 size too large in the summer.

Ok so I'm on the look out for a track frame in the 58cm range, and I want to spend around $300, I would want it to be steel for sure, and I want to avoid toe overlap so I don't want too steep of a head tube angle. P.M. me please if anybody knows of anything :)
BTW, Tour De France coverage on OLN starts saturday, sweeeeeeeeeeet!!! |

 Someone else said that they live near here and yeah, the commute downtown takes no time at all. On my road bike, I am downtown in 15 minutes, 12 if I really jet. Fixed, about 20 minutes cuz I suck at the braking and instead go slow ;) |
Sidis very nice though I find em overpriced, sale priced?....score!!. I totally agree with you as to the one pair one love. I have booties that block out the wind and the cold/wet, love em almost as much as the shoes themselves. You should have heard this guy...I wanted to poke him with a stick to let out all the hot air.
Jet I had an apt right across from the Dundas west subway on Edna where the streetcars come out at all hours. RRRRRRRRRrrRrrRRRRRRrrrrRRRRR as it turns right outside my window. I like Roncesvalles. I'm in the East now. We also had a two floor loft at Ossington up from Queen. |

Regarding the adidas, no thanks, I don't like it when my shoe size is larger than the age of the people who made the shoe. |
