Keith....

Dimensions of card?
Are they being chopped square cornered and encapsulated?

There is or was a climbing gym below Queen on Broadview as well.

go buy one of the little cup-top brewers at tap phong for something like $5, eagle brand and some coarse ground coffee. they sell some vietnamese brands on spadina in the saigon sub stores but the quality is kinda suspect. substitute with your favourite grind. you'll have recouped the cost of a coffee in one of the restaurants after 2 brews. it's mindnumbing waiting for it to drip though.

Cycle Solutions at Kingston and Main st. has some dvd's.

I've only been to Rock Oasis and The rock climbing academy at Queen and Broadview, Rock Oasis is bigger and has some taller walls from what I remember.

As opposed to rounded corners like on an actual playing card.

I suppose I could get out the safety scissor's. I will leave that choice to your Eminence.

TRaffic Jammer 09-06-06 01:29 PM

laminating the sheet and then cutting will result in cards not lasting very long as opposed to the card being encapsulated in laminate keeping moisture out. Longer and more expensive process, so never mind. How many racers you looking at so far?

somnambulant 09-06-06 01:30 PM

I wanna make more spoke cards! :)

Ok guys, the chainring cannot be bolted on the inside (must be outside) or it contacts the chainstay. The chainline seems to need to be moved in from the crankset side, or the chainline needs to move outwards from the wheel side.

The rear wheel is already spaced over 3-5mm, what should I do!?

darkmother 09-06-06 01:59 PM

How much more clearance do you need to put the chainring on the inside?

Shiznaz 09-06-06 02:00 PM

Sounds to me like you need a narrower BB and mount the ring on the outside (sometimes doesn't work if its a double with high flanges on the back) OR a wider BB or some BB spacers, then mount the ring on the inside of the spider at a close tolerance to the chainstay.

darkmother 09-06-06 02:07 PM

What cranks and bb are you using?

operator 09-06-06 02:14 PM

I'm using a 117 bb with some sort of Sugino triple crank. I can only move the crank inboard about 2-3mm max before the spider starts hitting the chainstay. If I move it outwards, I probably need around 4-5mm to clear the chainstay, maybe slightly less.

And you already dished the wheel to the left 5mm?

operator 09-06-06 02:42 PM

I've spaced out the rear wheel to towards the right side as much as I could already. Hmm.

darkmother 09-06-06 02:48 PM

Something doesn't sound right here. Is it possible the frame is not aligned correctly? You can check it with some string and a tape measure. I think Sheldon's site breaks it down, as usual.

Hmmmmm. Well I would like em to last but I am not exactly swimming in $$ for this so unless the large lady at the Business Depot takes sexual favours for payment, the cheap way it is.

Did you put all the spacers on one side or did you space them evenly between both sides of the hub? It needs to be the same on both sides or the wheel dish will not be right and you will never get the wheel to sit right in the bike. This would also contribute to excessive chain noise as the cog will be slightly off center and the chain will not be contacting the cog straight.

TRaffic Jammer 09-06-06 03:15 PM

of course budget drives everything...as always.... lam the sheet and chop..... I'll tape the edges of mine.

operator 09-06-06 04:34 PM

What do I need to do to dish the wheel?

cavit8 09-06-06 04:55 PM

get a wheel disher?

gokiburi 09-06-06 05:09 PM
