When we got our I Mac (damm commercials) I was like nice, very cool. Good thing we did not buy it for me! PC’s for life. ha ha

Assuming I am not incarcerated for pummeling a nerdy computer salesman....Sprints on Unwin tomorrow. 7pm.
And yes I am at work as I have no means of posting from home. Stupid work!
Oh yeah...its Bradyn's B-day tomorrow so if you see him on the road give him a B-day shout out!

operator 06-26-07 07:03 PM

I'm going to have to warn you though, that salesman probably doens't know anything about the computer he sells.

Her almost in tears on the street outside, hysterical that we just spent more $ on any other purchase we have made in the last 4 years, because some dip$hit salesman couldn't take the time to assauge her fears is NOT cool with me. Secondly I fail to understand how they can dismiss any request for compensation without even being aware what the problem is. If they at least looked at it first and came to some conclusion as to the problem, then informed us as to the remedy I would feel a little better about all this. Good thing we bought the Apple Care for Dogs sake!

If you got apple care then they should just replace it for you on the spot... but maybe carbon cant...?

My friend got a first gen MBpro and started having problems with the fan after about two weeks. He left it for a day and they transfered all his info onto a new machine.

A few months later his HDD was making strange sounds and revving up etc, he brought it back. At this time they had upgraded their MBpro line and did the same for him; transfering all the info onto the new better specked machine within a few hours.

From my experience they seem to be good with replacing their products for you, especially if you bought apple care. But I have only dealt with the apple stores and 1 800 my apple.

The apple stores probably have more authority.

I got my powerbook at compusmart a few years back... :| so far so good.

Edit: Oh and also you can bring it to the apple store even though you didn't get it there, just bring the receipt and they will help you out, and perhapse just replace the comp for you if that's what you're wanting. Carbon isn't my fav apple reseller for sure...

cavernmech 06-27-07 07:10 AM

So Carbon Cpmputing has determined that our problem was a hardware issue (no $hit) and they are transferring what little I had on the drive to a brand spankin' new machine...YAY! Thanks for everyones advice and help with this issue.

Lionel Hutz: Uh, your Honor, can I call for one of those bad trial thingys?
Judge: You mean a mistrial?
Lionel Hutz: Yeah ... that's why you're the judge, and I am the law ... talkin' ... guy.

True story: iherald came into the shop one time and threatened to sue us all because his water wasn't chilled enough! He's a cold cold man ... (and now "cold as ice / he's so cold as ice" is stuck in my head, great).

I'm going to amend the claim to include slander, discrimination and inciting mutiny! :)

Customer enters shop asking for help with his integrated headset. Headset is shot..sell him replacement. Thanks me and leaves shop. Comes back 2 minutes later bearing his Redbull rep card and a free case of Redbull. Keith has shaky hands all of a sudden.

Keith, have you learned nothing from your Imac experience? Bike comes in, blame customer, suggest that you'll look it later if he's lucky, and profit.

This whole helping the customer thing.... it just doesn't compute!

LAWL. yeah..usually the surliness and indifference thing is my hallmark. On occasion I feel the need to actually...you know...be helpful. Its all in the timing.
