Headlights for seeing with...or being seen? I love the MEC Turtle lights for basic blinky style. they are like $4.

Asian alcohol eh? I was drinking at a buddy's place a number of years ago and he had this bottle of Chinese booze. There was not a lick of English on the label but it had a gutted lizard fermenting in the bottle. We called it "Lizard Juice" We drank it but then worried that the label might say something like "for decoration only"
are you sure it wasn't formaldehyde?

no disrespect to anyone but i swear the chinese eat the craziest things. my buddy is travelling in china right now and he sent me a picture of what he was given at a hot pot place when he told the ower to bring him what ever the locals eat:

yes that is a whole frog. a frog!

Bikes: The Brown Beast

I head to China for 5 weeks on Sunday fully planning on taking a picture of everything I eat before I eat it, so there should be some...interesting things by the end.

I just can't wait to ride a bike in Shanghai and Beijing and to buy new electronics in Hong Kong hehehe.

that's probably as bad as it sounds. i had blood sausage when i was in scotland. i thought it was tasty before i found out what it was (tasted like liverwurst), a glorified scab.

like KD and canned salmon with katsup?

i can only understand scottish "food" in the context of it tasting good only after a night at the pub. just about every item for sale in every take out place in the nation is breaded and deep fried, basically just differnt shapes of beige stuff. deep fried sausage? check. fried toast? check. Deep friend minced SPAM patties (what they call a hamburger)? check. deep fried chocolate bars? check. there is a reason i gained 30+lbs after living there for a few months....

Heheh, that would be pretty funny; it would be neat to BBQ a dog while riding around though

Yeah, the auction was just posted and there was no pic, just a description and a decent BIN for the frame, an uncut Profile Design carbon fork, a Weyless carbon seat-post, a track chain and a headset, so I pulled the trigger and the seller is sending it USPS so I might even dodge the duties on it, we shall see. The description of the sloping top-tube got me thinking it might be a Pulse, that was why I asked about yours, but I think I'll be happy either way, I have a soft spot for black GTs

if they do charge you customs, just tell them its a GT frame and it was made in the US.
but they can still charge you tax of declared value.
