Whew! 15 minutes 25 seconds. The last 40 or so flights were so slippery from sweat and spit and whatever else that I almost bailed a few times. I probably could have come in under 15 minutes but there were a few groups I got stuck behind and couldn't pass for a while. I didn't want to bother asking them to move as they looked ready to keel over and die. Even so, I was pooped by the time I got up , and pretty much every person who climbed, myself included, was hacking up their lungs something fierce at the top!

Bikes: Menonite black urbanite, probably enough spare parts to make anther one.

i did that climb a couple of years ago, shiz. as i recall i had a similar time (and wearing cycling shoes thank you very much); was it the WWF fundraiser?

oh wait, we're supposed to be bickering...um.. let's see...how to start a fight?...okay...somnambulant's ironically nerdy glasses are neither ironic nor nerdy. traffic jammer: full face helmets are for x-games downhillers. speaking of helmets: rob wear a helmet! kingston is for hippies, sweep. what else? if you can't patch a tire don't ride a bike. baskets are cool. bring it on!!!!!

[oh, i'm good to go for the bike show sat morning so see you all there: moonbeam. 9 sharp].

Bikes: A bunch

aaaaaahhhhh!!

I've had this fuçking fever for the past two days and I was throwing up all through out the night last night.

I've been taking a bunch of Vitamin C and oregano oil, I think it's helping.

anyone know of anything that'll help get rid of a fever?

Couple bumps of K will fix you right up.

Edit: Storytime!

Okay, so I had the flu one time and I was laid out in bed all delirious-coma-like. I woke up w/ the sweats, dying for something to drink. So there I am, stumbling into the kitchen w/ my clothes stuck to me, grabbed the biggest cup I could find (Mc Donald's promotional thingie ... half gallon size) and filled it to the brim with orange juice. I chugged that stuff like I was a ringer at a frat party and had just enough time to mentally process "mmm, refreshing" before heaving it all back up into the sink next to me. The thing is though, it was still cold coming back up and i remember thinking "hey, that was pretty refreshing too - awesome!" Then I stumbled back to bed and passed out again.

Fin.

Who reserved a pass to the show but has not picked it up yet? I know that the ones I had were all spoken for but my over-worked brain does not remember. I will bring the extra with me in the morning.

Yeah, there was a girl I got stuck behind for a little while and every step she took it looked like she was about to hurl. That would have been nasty... those stairs are open so it would have made its way down several storeys.

and thanks TJ. Its really not that hard. Lots of fatties and geezers doing it. One of our team brought their 10 year old kid and they both made it up in 20 minutes. Very impressive! Now whether you would actually WANT to climb those stairs is another question, but its for charity and kind of fun now that I think about it. I'd do it again. If I didn't get stuck behind people and had 'smoke free' lungs I bet I could have got under 14 minutes.

does anyone else think these are ugly (they're the new Paul fixie cranks):

i don't know what it is; maybe it's the colour. think i'd like them better in polished silver.

Should I email the guy and ask for the serial number (as it looks like if he did buy it stolen, he's taken of the rack and such)?

What's a polite way of going about this?

I'm not too impressed either. To me, a good forged crank (eg sugino) is better in every way.

Is there any chance it's yours? If so, I'd go have a look at it in person. If he knows it's stolen, he probably won't give you the real serial #.
