Damn you both and your long legs. I don't know if theb 60 I have will fit me.

Yeah, I saw that Pini and thought it is a great deal but I just have way too many bikes now, rats. I think that he (or she, could be an amazon) is including the seat-clamp and the headset too. It has been listed before and I think that the last time, the asking price was $350. Or maybe I saw it on Pinkbike or somewhere else.

And yeah, Value Village is a madhouse today! I go to the Lansdowne/Bloor one all the time and I had no idea there was a sale today. I pulled up into the parking lot and thought it looked a little more crowded than usual but I thought nothing of it. BOOM! I walked in and it was teeming with people. I thought about buying a bike for $15 and putting it up on CL for a profit but the line to buy stuff was at least 30 minutes. Crazy.

yeah. I used to ride a 61-62cm fuji. My spicer and khs track bikes are 60cm and my cyclops and soma double cross are 58 because thats the size they came in. My spicer has the longest top tube ever. its pretty funny.

In regards to the pini, I have banned myself from buying any more bikes until I get rid of some. in the stable right now: 3 track bikes (only 2 sets of track wheels though), 1 geared cross bike, an SS MTB and a BMX. I only actually want to get rid of the BMX though! I can't stand the thought of parting with one of my track bikes, and the SS MTB and cross bike are new...

Speaking of bikes that keep popping up on CL again and again, here is that steel Pini that was discussed in this thread a few months ago. It looks like the owner is finally going to get rid of it, likely for a good price:

That would look very nice as a new old road bike.

if by giant you mean someone over 6' with a 32'' or so inseam... it is mostlikely typical pinarello/italian bike sizing which measures centre to top which makes the bike more like a 56 or 58.

60 cm isn't THAT big.

i used to be a VV frequent flyer until i met my stylish wife. i have to say that the second hand underwear and wedding dresses always freaked me out a little.

i didn manage to pick up some accoutrements there for a friend's stag not to long ago...

When i was on Shuter St i went there all the time. It was $1.00 per pound for the longest time it went up to $2.00 per pound & moved shortly after. I once found 10 bux in a bin.

I miss it as well...nothing like buying old Jordans for 2 bucks and popping them up on ebay for 50$USD. I volunteered there as well, in the book sorting room. Tons of books came into this airport-hanger sized room and I sorted them. Fun and insane at the same time and I bought lots of old X-mens for 25cents a pop. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Well if over 6' with a 32 inseam is a "giant", then what do you call someone who is 5'9" with a 32" inseam? Leggy McLeggerson? 2 LEGit to Quit? Dan "short top tube and lots of seatpost" Baston?

shapelike 02-19-07 09:48 PM

5'10", 34.5" inseam. Where them big-ass WSD bikes at?

Step 1. Search couch.
Step 2. If said chips are found, clean couch more often.
