Ha ha! What awesome books. I wish I'd seen that site before I finished my Christmas shopping.

Shiznaz 01-04-07 11:13 AM

Throw in the brifters and I'll think about it. He should really be offering them up for free. The dude lives in vaughan!

Homer's Odyssey?
Come here and take the fork off my bike, and hammer out the head set.... hilarious

Offhoff 01-04-07 12:04 PM

Reading the Odyssey is a light and simple read compared to Joyce. I noticed that ad and immediately thought that this guy is just trying to get out of paying his LBS to do the same job. Kind of ridiculous to charge for someone to come over and remove parts from your bike. I mean what happens if damage occurs etc?

As for Operator's request, when he shows he has mastered the full sentence and paragraph we'll move away from books.

TRaffic Jammer 01-04-07 12:07 PM

It IS for your own good Rob. It's because we care.

ulysses is joyces epic which was heavily influenced by homer. odysseus and ulysses are i believe the same name in different languages.

TRaffic Jammer 01-04-07 12:48 PM

Like Case in Neuromancer

Offhoff 01-04-07 12:51 PM

Oh Jammer, this is an answer to your question in the Road Cycling thread regarding skateboards dropping bikes. That's Patrick who tries the mad scary pass, he's CRAZY both in terms of how fast he is and how far he'll push the envelope. A week after that vid was taken he managed to smash his acura into the back of a garbage truck so he's off the board for a bit.

TRaffic Jammer 01-04-07 12:53 PM

Yea man that was full on nuts by just about any adrenaline junkie's standards, how scared did that driver get? Full on finding religion moment.

Your futile attempts are caused by one or more of the following:

1. You are not a Mage / Palidin.
2. Your skill level is not great enough. Seek more EXP.
3. Your mana is to low. Seek MP potions or rest.
4. You don't have the right spell. ie: Summon Geek Banish

TRaffic Jammer 01-04-07 01:05 PM

Successful geek banishing will make for a very still board.

somnambulant 01-04-07 01:31 PM

I think you're all ****ing nuts.
