It's cherry and in the bag. I have a sugino 75 crankset (165mm cranks) that's also freshly baked and in the box if you're interested.

Me: old bald guy with sandals. Likely wearing floods and (depending on the temp) polypro with cycling sandals. Black UTW bag and the ubiquitous purple MEC cycling jacket (again, depending on the weather).

eyefloater 02-04-06 09:38 AM

Yes. Yes I am.

cavit8 02-04-06 09:40 AM

Okay, I'll bring both down for you to have a boo at. No commitment on your part is required and it's no bother on my end.

sr20det 02-04-06 01:50 PM

i'm looking for a 144 BCD chainring too for my gimp sugino 75 set.
anyone want to make my day a bit cheerier... woah its snowing outside.

eyefloater 02-04-06 06:54 PM

... so I thought up the name for my new bike the other day:

"Spastic Fantastic"

That is all.

ventolin 02-04-06 11:42 PM

Heh - I just named my new (non-fixed... *GASP*) touring bike (for a Vancouver > Baja tour I'm going on starting in August) the "Juggernautilus".

jedi_steve420 02-05-06 08:27 PM

HAHA... Just saw this in the Globe's week in pictures on their website.

GO Olivia!!! stylin boots and a stylin bike :p

cavit8 02-05-06 08:34 PM

I like Jack's "Neo" imitation. Is it just me or is he looking a mite bowlegged.

sweep242 02-05-06 08:52 PM

When he was on BT a bit ago he mentioned he got new a tandem & the best part of his day is on a bike. Good guy happy for him & his new seats in Ottawa.
Cheers

He's in my riding and when he was here you could routinely see him riding around the place. He really does seem to be a ride-it-like-they-talk-it kinda guy. I'm glad for him and Ms Chow.

almost slid down to page 3...

somnambulant 02-07-06 10:25 AM

tsk tsk tsk.

hey, my fork (Urbane chromey one) keeps getting a thin layer of surface rust on it. It pretty well just wipes right off, but it's still ugly.. Think a thin layer of grease would help things?

how about clear coat? Though a thin layer of grease can be said to help just about everything no? :p

my chrome columbus fork has a wee bit o' surface rust on it as well and nowhere near as gleaming as operator's :( ..you might have to keep re-applying the grease and wouldn't it attract dust and dirt? is it really humid where you're keeping the bike?

err.. did anyone make it to moonbeam? last weekend sucked the bag.

jet sanchEz 02-07-06 11:30 AM

Jack Layton used to bike up and down Spadina back in the day and we used to chat now and then. This was when Spadina was 7 lanes one day, 6 the next and then 9 the next.....full of pot holes, delivery trucks, TTC buses, pedestrians and it was dangerous as hell. He is a pretty big reason we now have bike lanes in Toronto. He isn't really on the same page as me, politically, but yeah, he talks the talk and walks the walk.

I got rust off of my chrome fork with a bit of furniture stripper.

Damp tinfoil (shiny side) will get the rust off. Then use some autowax on the fork to keep it shiny. It'll dry hard and help protect. Then you can polish your forks daily with a diaper, like operator does.

err.... yes. <-- in black black funk . . .

TRaffic Jammer 02-07-06 12:38 PM

Well here's to hoping you find you way out of the bad funk and into the good funk.

I'm around tonight (Wed) and I'm going to look at a co-op tomorrow (thursday) late aft then a place Friday around 6 at Pape and Dundas. I can hook up pretty much anywhere around those times.

rodny71 02-08-06 01:11 PM

Is anyone from Toronto coming down to NY for monstertrack?

sweep242 02-08-06 05:36 PM

Hell, New York. I’m having a hard time making it downtown to meet these guys. But i finally got a frame so i’m on the build up.
Cheers

TRaffic Jammer 02-08-06 05:47 PM

gokiburi 02-08-06 05:59 PM

I's a workin stiff so it's unlikely i'll be able to go. but there's bound to be someone from toronto that's not on this board that'll make it down.
