i envision operator using his ninja skills and sweet almond thighs to put him in a headlock, and then snap his neck with a mere trembling ripple of his humungous quads.

I emailed the Campognola dude. He told me that it was spelled correctly, as in Italian, Rome is Roma. I emailed back and suggested that campognolo is a brand name, and whether they are sold in Italy, France or the US, the name is the same.

hahaha.. yeah, when you go to www.campagnolo.com and click italian, it doesn't change the spelling.

Early morning mtn bike ride on Sunday: Meet at the Pottery Rd trailhead @ 9:00. Weather permitting: potential rain in the forecast and the don is not pretty when wet (not to mention trail damage potential).

cavernmech: if you're talking to Bradyn, let him know.
i_brad: I finally got over The Evil Root last night.. ever since that one spill there I haven't gotten over it. Rode smooth like butter last night... felt good.

Also, I have the golf clubs from Pyze. If anyone (Brad? Ronin?) wants to make some polo mallets, let me know.

$? Beer?

Shiznaz 05-24-07 01:11 PM

you should go to the LCBO and exchange money for beer, then exchange the beer for a cruumpler bag, then exchange the crumpler bag for the downtube shifters, and then exchange the downtube shifters for a full body massage. Then tell your story to the world. Eventually you might get some crappy bungalow in the prairies out of it.

Oh and I agree on rob the red paperclip guy was totally fabericated.

Story from the road for the day. Pounding up Yonge to do my last 2 drops on bloor and people start pouring onto the streets from the subway. From queen to Dundas it turned into pedestrian hell apparently the subway was having problems. So it was totally a meat pylon run up to bloor.

That is all.

TRaffic Jammer 05-24-07 03:12 PM

what was your final score?

I ended up chatting with girls looking for cabs at like 3 lights, but didn't smoke anyone so I'm gonna say I scored a nice gold medal run.

Also had a great day on the road so this was just the icing on the cake. Especially the two girls at bloor who wanted me to double them over to bathurst. I almost did it but couldn't figure out how to put TWO girls onto my bike.

TRaffic Jammer 05-24-07 03:30 PM

 Nice one..... that Offhoff...he's so cuuuuute!!

Danhalen 05-24-07 03:46 PM

Well dudes I'm going away over the weekend so have a good one! Stay safe in all senses of the word and see y'all next week.

Charlie congratulations on leaving "the suits" behind for now. I'll probably see ya before you leave next week but if not then bon voyage! I'll get your bars back to you before you leave.

And as per an earlier discussion topic not all bike messengers are "bike punks". I'm not even sure what that means. It sounds kind of um lame though. ROCK AND ROLL

cavit8 05-24-07 03:52 PM

Fuzzz, check your PMs

Oh, and $80 for a 113m Phil Woods BB http://toronto.craigslist.org/bik/337687311.html

And Iherald, I are a grad student in epidemiology and community health. I'm working at ICES for the summer.

I'll be at cavern tomorrow after work to pick up my double cross. I'm going to have to leave my fixie at work and come pick it up next week (gasp!), so I'll be walking to cavern and then riding a gearie home so that should be fun.

I was blown away when I walked out of the office to front and bay. The entire intersection was a sea of people. It was like a documentary shot of some city in china or something. The roads were totally corked by a critical mass of drivers so I was lanesplitting and clipping every few cars with the fender strapped to my bag. OOPS! I also saw jeremy/darkmother tearing along bloor street going west so he is still alive and well.

This situation shows how when you get rid of the subway, the city basically shuts down, so if you improved subway service, the city would actually run properly.

It was the same sort of thing during the big blackout of.....2004? Or was it 2005? I was cycling north on Bay and BOOM!, everyone left their office buildings all at once! It was nuts and I had no idea what was going on, people just kept coming and coming and coming, blocking the sidewalks and spilling over out onto the streets. Traffic was nuts and there were no traffic lights, so it was just as messed up as it could possibly be, thank god I was cycling, no one was getting anywhere. Much like how it was today, I guess. At least the cab drivers made some cashola.
