The less physical activity the more wearings I can get out of each garment. They also have time to 'mellow' as it were in between wearings as I have so many to cycle through. Wearing a fresh t-shirt under them helps immensely too. I change in my cubicle and haveonly been walked in on a couple of times. Changing in a washroom stall every day is not something you want to do... My coworkers ten to avoid my office until about a half hour after I get in specifically to minimize seeing me without a shirt on. We have really nice bike racks in the basement that lock up both wheels with shackles and hand the bike vertically against the wall. Its near the security people and has a camera pointed at it so there basically no way my bike could get stolen during work. |

"HEY! BIKE GUY! Have you done google earth yet? Its way better than mapquest. I actually used it to find our hotel we stayed at in Costa rica! If you've never done it it will blow your mind. You can actually SEE the buildings! You should give it a try for your biking!"
"... ... ... Thanks I'll keep it in mind" ...grumble... |

Has anyone ever had luck buying a used old bike from a garage sale or Goodwill? Suggestions on the best way to do it?

ps. did anyone else notice the strange mist that was rolling in off the lake? it seems like it was rolling in from the south-west, but it might be burning off now. i thought it was just dust from a construction site until i rode for a while and realised it seemed like i was going through a cloud. anyone with a good view of the lake? |

I actually just got back from a client meeting with a research group that studies aerosols in the air in Southern Ontario and when we were getting a little tour they checked the instruments and said it was kinda nasty out there right now. Lots of little particles clogging our lungs.. yum! Then I found out the girl giving the tour rides cyclocross. Good stuff. :) also: I just saw a guy come out of the Faculty of Architecture building and get on a dark grey sloping-TT pursuit frame. I wasn't close enough to see what it was though. Very clean and shiny... I'm pining for a new fixie. Hurry up Tony! :) |
