Does NY stay green like that all summer? In California those hills will be yellowish-brown before you know it. The green is nice, but that color they turn just screams California, and it is very comforting. When we get back to Napa-Sonoma every summer and see them, it just feels like coming home.

In a normal summer, green until fall. Occassional hot Augusts will burn the grass (I pray for them so that I can stop mowing). Honestly, right now is my least favorite time of year in CNY. All of the road salt makes everything dirty brown, and it takes the spring rains to clean up the road areas and liven up the grass for things to get to the correct color. In two to three weeks we will the pretty again.

Man, one of my classes got cancelled today. I was looking forward to four hours of riding time. But no, though it was 77 degrees two days ago, it's in the 30s and snowing/raining today. I guess I'll just watch the Roubaix.
