Yesterday I got in my November outdoor ride. Knocked it out early so now I don't have to go out again until December (if I don't want to) and I can still say I rode every month this year. I did 40 miles of mostly gravel with a little bit if MUP to get back into town from the south side. It rained most of Halloween so there was some muddy stretches particularly a minimum maintenance road running through a corn field. I did not face plant. I even made it down the super steep and windy hill with the giant rocks that serve as gravel to get down to the mud road.
This morning marked the official beginning of gym season. The wife and I got up at 4:30 and headed over. I ran she ellipticalled. She got jealous because a "gym *****" as she calls them used the elliptical next to me and then did a "typical gym *****" move of walking by me as I was sitting waiting for her to finish up and stopping in front of me to throw out her trash in the can. I didn't notice... I guess I have to be more observant in the future.

Halloween for my family ended up being a ton of fun. We had a great day and found out our new neighborhood does quite a bit for trick or treaters. Not a ton like some other neighborhoods, but every 3rd or 4th house had their porch light on or some decoration and everyone was super friendly. And I don't normally brag about these sort of things, but I freaking NAILED it with my daughter's costume this year. She was an astronaut last year, and then we found this cool dinosaur rider costume at Target, so I hit up the sewing machine the morning of Halloween to make the two come together and it turned out way better than I thought it would.

Nicely done.

No time to "read" read this morning, but the pictures look great! Reading it is on my list of things to do later today. I've been tinkering with the blog idea, but haven't gotten around to it, yet. I think mine would focus on commuting (like I ever do that, right?) and camping stuff.

go for it! i think it would be cool, my commutes are generally boring and i sum them up nicely with whatever i title them with on strava, plus camping is always a good read
i saw this on my IG feed and i was hypnotized, her costume RULES! and she looks like shes loving it, good job all around!

Oh, I forgot to mention it! We went out to the bar on Halloween and I won first place in the costume contest even though my wife's makeup was way better. I was a zombie (boring) and she had a zipper face. She even had a red contact in the one eye. The staff did the judging from a distance though and I don't think hers played will from across the bar.

My commutes aren't generally exciting, either, but I think I wanted to focus on product review type stuff that goes beyond the typical single paragraph add copy. I'm the type of person that will read like 20 reviews on 10 different backpacks before deciding on one and I'm always annoyed when I can't find any good reviews on stuff I'm interested in. And there would be the occasional fun ride story/camping trip/rando stuff if I can ever get around to doing that stuff.

It was a ton of fun! The funniest thing about it is that she gets mistaken for a boy in this costume and everyone thought Mom was the one who put it together.
Such is life. Didn't bother correcting anyone.
The other problem with a kid with an awesome costume is that NOBODY recognized my Marty McFly costume. Again, such is life.

I do both. I'll probably get 40 miles with the team, tomorrow and Thursday with indoor training on M-W-F. Saturday and Sunday will also be on the road.
