I may need to do some doping to get through tax season.

I hate those clients. Sadly, I have more than one of those. The season 2016 awaits...

I still have one "monthly" client who's 2014 business and personal returns are still on my desk. They finally gave us most of what was needed earlier this month when their kids were hounding them about FAFSA's. They have not yet reported ANY of 2015 monthly work.

I wasn't able to do their 2014 tax return until they FINALLY got me everything I needed in OCTOBER. We were just able to complete Oct-Nov financials for the business last week (and obviously I've been out since).

Yeah, you start reporting timely and then we can discuss how timely I work.

We 100% love our accountant. He is an awesome dude. Your clients read an article on line, I'll bet, "How to Get the Most Out of Your Accountant" or something similar.

We get that kind of stuff a lot. "Always ask for a discount. Make a list of questions before you go in." Etc.

OMG Please DON'T make a list of questions. I have heard them all already. So much so that I will preemptively answer you questions if only you would stop talking over me, peppering me with questions, lol.

Also, quote of the day from the intern who is on rotation with me: "Dr. Heathpack, you are the Henry Ford of canine encephalitis". (This because I have five rechecks in a row, all dogs being treated for encephalitis and one of the rechecks was coming in for his last treatment today but I'm three minutes late getting into the appointment because I was looking at the spinal fluid sample from a brand new case that we just diagnosed this morning).

Encephalitis is my favorite disease to treat, BTW. Lots of tiny little details to manage over very long periods of time, right up my alley. ';)

Honestly I wish more would do that and then initiate contact. Most of my clients seem to ignore me and then wonder why I haven't contacted them yet. Which I am, admittedly, horrible at. As are most accountants since it's a profession of introverts.

Although, one of the other managers has a client like that. Calls every other day with some stupid idea that they need to be explained is stupid or completely unrelated to their situation.

I need more bike shop clients. I visit that guy all the time.

Not without verifying work papers from the season in question.

Nah, I escaped unscathed with a suggestion for a BP lowering diet and a suggestion to lose 15#. My new doc loved my cycling regimen and said to keep it up. :thumb:

It was pretty thorough. I did escape the long finger salute as I had just seen my urologist last week. Seems like a nice lady.
