Gotta love that corporate employee dental insurance. But didn't that put you over the yearly benefit limit? Wouldn't 1/2 this year and 1/2 next year have been advantageous? I'm out of dental benefits for 2015 and delaying some work right now to take advantage of next year's allowance.

Never heard back from the email I sent to Walmart through the website. Didn't even get a confirmation email. Also, during all of this I did one password reset request myself to see what the email generated would look like for comparison purposes and I never saw an email that was any different from the others.

They did stop after 13 or 14 emails. Whatever...

I guess it could be possible that someone with a nearly identical email to mine was locked out of their account.

Record breaking warm temps forecast for my area this weekend. There will be riding done in celebration.

My office volunteered at the animal shelter yesterday. What an experience!! I've never felt so good and so bad all at the same time. It was definitely hard not to bring home another animal, but after a few tears I managed.

Seriously, go adopt a dog. Any life you give it will be such an improvement over its current situation. Plus they're cute!

This was the first dog I walked, he was quite eager to get outside, but once outside, he walked by my side perfectly the entire time. Very well behaved. Shelter dogs have so much love and no one to give it to. This guy had been in the shelter since the end of October, owner surrender...it's a no kill shelter as long as the dogs are healthy, but each day in the cage they become a little bit crazier and harder to adopt. I still tear up when I think about him, if we could take in another dog, I totally would have adopted him.

This was the second dog I walked. He was a huge pit mix, beautiful blue color...and those eyes! When we were walking he'd nudge my hand with his nose so I'd pet him. So cute.

I posted pictures of this little guy on Facebook and a friend of a friend does pug rescues, so he and another pug in the next cage over might be going to a better home this weekend!

We're at 2 dogs and 3 cats currently, I'd love to take them all home with me, but we're kind of at maximum occupancy ourselves.

We had a similar household pet population, when Mrs. rjones28 worked at an animal hospital.

Went out for lunch, I walked the 1 mile from my office to downtown and had phenomenal indian food.

On the walk home, I saw an unusual sight. A cyclist. On a recumbent. A recumbent with legs forward and operated by a back-forth hand crank. I will have to investigate this contraption. Given how our arms are weaker than our legs, I don't think it's a good idea for most of us but maybe an exception to those with weak, paralyzed, or missing legs.

Handcycles, for those that have lost the use of their legs. Pretty inspiring to see a Wounded Warrior climb Mt. Evans on one.

There was a guy I'd pass quite often on one of my routes when I was riding after work (when it was still daylight out) who was missing a leg and riding a hand cycle. Definitely an inspiring site to see.

It is quite common to see riders using the handcycles at the triathlons the girls participate in. It's very encouraging to see the athletes beat the odds and find a way to participate.
