Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I would like to participate further but we are leaving soon and I imagine driving and posting to BF is a bad idea. Carry on.

To be honest, I don't know the technical definition of a spoiler. I don't know what qualifies as a spoiler and what doesn't.

But I DO know that if a member in good standing makes a legitimate complaint that a post is a spoiler, then fellow members ought to see what adjustments can be made to avoid and correct spoiler posting, instead of being a dick about it and fishing for an argument.

Maybe the solution is to check with the Pro Racing forum to see if they're discussing it or to see what their criteria is.

Or maybe the solution is to not discuss it till the next day.

I don't know, I just have no interest* in racing. Sorry!

Why can't somebody else drive?

Why is it the man of the house always has to drive? Don't we have enough to do?

And what do we get as a reward for our sacrifices, just the big piece of chicken?

And they wonder why we die so early.

It is pretty inconsiderate - for ****s and giggles, you're essentially making Addictionites choose between the suspense of seeing a once-a-year event unfold and Addiction, a place seen as a refuge for the semi-sane.

How about this compromise? If you want to talk about it, make your discussion the 'LemonChiffon" color (bottom row, third column). On the desktop scheme, at least, it should be very very difficult to read unless you highlight it with your cursor. See below, both in main post and quote -

main: spoiler

In all honesty...

I watched the live broadcast in the morning, just as I am today. When I made that post last night I thought it was late enough that all interested would have known the results. It was not my intention to spoil it for anyone. I sincerely apologize for my indiscretion. I will not make that mistake again.

Of course, BF could just pop in some BB code so that we could use spoiler tags like many other forums have available.

Nice ride in the end. Five of us showed up. It was cool and it didn't rain (floor was wet though.) Also I am glad to report that I did not melt.

I'd say 24 hours or until the next stage has started. That gives people who had to work a chance to get home and catch up.

I was thinking the same thing, but as I mentioned I don't qualify as a good judge.
