Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Crap. I just did some crude measurements and I will need a 450mm seatpost to make that work. That's a (ahem) tall order.

I had one of those moments at Lowes the other day. Had nothing to do with bikes but all to do with....wait, why am I here shopping for this when I have a prior project take-off at home?

Go to an orthopedic surgeon. Tell him your knees hurt all the time and as a respected member of the medical field you have diagnosed that you need new knees. Also, advise him that during the procedure he needs to cut about 4" out of the length of your legs.

Please notify me of the address of where to send the bill.

Snarky and lack of patience with incompetence I understand. But what is this work thingy you speak of that time off be needed from?

Ten years ago I used to think that even if I should happen to win the lottery I'd still have a job and go to work regularly. That sense of responsibility in my daydreams lessens more and more each year.

Not until Thursday in my neighborhood. And as far as I know it is Tuesday (could be wrong on this point, the days have started to blend together).

Ten years ago I dedicated would not have even begun to consider retirement. Five years ago I started to think about maybe someday. First of this year I logged off the books, permanently. Now I have trouble grasping the concept of having to get up and go to work every day/my time not being my own. It was blowing past 70 that made me begin to believe retirement could be both personally and socially acceptable.

Thanks fer the help wrt trash day. Ours is Wednesday. That no mail delivery yesterday 'cause of Columbus Day bit was throwing me off.

If I won the lottery I'd buy wife and me a pair of his and hers 3/5 series BMWs just 'cause I think they be cool and then give the rest away. Who needs all that too much unearned money grief, anyway?

What, you aren't familiar with dream interpretation principles. It is always about good years and bad years. And besides, my dad was named Joseph. So I learned at the feet of the master. Sheesh!
