Broken spoke from rim

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I appreciate those who gave good advice. And to the others, you guys are sick
i thought you were trying to be funny by asking about a rim job, and ignored it because it was low hanging fruit.

I assume you calling a rim replacement a "rim job", correct?

Replacing a hoop with the identical hoop, is no big deal. I'd definitely use new nipples, but new spokes are a judgement call. I'd rather replace them now, than gamble on them needing another rebuild(additional labor cost) later.

Do I understand that the spoke didn't break, but rather pulled through the rim? Otherwise what is the difficulty here?

How appropriate for getting a "rim job"....

After THIS thread, I assume that the "net nanny" will now 'star-out' the word "rim" and "Cumming" from now on?

From what I've seen, south Atlanta, around the truckstop would be a better location to look.....
