Tried a new recipe for the allegedly "best evah" Chocolate Chip Cookies. Basically the differences are: you brown the butter, use semi-sweet discs rather than chips, add some chopped Heath bars and sprinkle the tops with flaky sea salt.

They are indeed pretty darn good cookies! Sailing food for our trip next weekend.

Here's the recipe:

If those were in my house, they would not last til the weekend.

It was sunny most of the day, except for a passing shower, and 75 degrees.

I did not ride.

Didn't realize it for a few miles and had to turn back (into the wind) to retrieve them.

Hope the trip was good despite the headwind.

Went to Hawaii in December and went to put my sunglasses on to drive home from the airport and they were gone. OK, left them at LAX or ORD. Bought a couple more pair. Last week, I was looking for my lightweight sneakers and when I tried to put them on, found my sunglasses. :thumb:

$3,900. Ouch. I don't want it that much. I'll stick to my old 1986 Diamondback converted with drop bars.

There is one sitting at my LBS waiting for pick up by someone that ordered it. Sucker is heavy!

RIP Mr. Internet

I read a book about him many, many years ago. Interesting guy. He was also featured in an article about early hackers where he got in to real war of wits with a famous hacker at the time. I don't remember all the details but this guy was driving him nuts and the story detailed how he programmed traps and such into the mainframe and then slept next to the machine waiting for alarms to go off. Ah, the early days...

If those were in my house, they would not last through the weekend. As in, this weekend. That ends tonight.

One of our customers just ordered one too. I don't think tourists care about weight.

Two dozen wrapped and frozen already. Usually cookies freeze perfectly but I'm not sure with these on account of the salt on top. We shall find out how they dog.

I only left four out for us to eat fresh. I think they're pretty caloric!

Aren't you in Texas now? WTH kind of drink is that?

Edit: The food pic didn't show up at first. If that was brunch, nevermind ;).

Cherrywood Infused White Rum, Luxardo Maraschino, Grapefruit, Lime. Much fancy, quite tasty.

Can't have grapefruit. Interferes with the Lipitor. Don't get old.

I won't tell.

seedsbelize 04-16-17 07:25 PM

I've had grapefruit interference issues too. It's my favorite juice to drink fresh. So it goes.

It's the only way I've been drunk. Would recommend.

Almost a quarter inch thick I swear. Smoke in Dallas next to the Bellmont.

So I'm on week two of my ramp up to 5hr/week. Well not really any kind of ramp... just start doing it out of the blue with no warning. Which has been an issue.

I felt like total crap this morning. Just standing at church was painful in so many ways. Screw that noise, I've got 2 more hours to get in (stupid rain early this week). So I drug my sore, tired ass out on the trails with nothing but 800mg of ibu, and a church donut and muffin, in my system.

And to my surprise, it was like I had woke up with a normal person's heart today. No idea why, but I was able to push harder, go faster, all with much lower heart rate than usual for my messed up self. Also hero dirt conditions and completely empty trail system didn't hurt.

Anyways, the net effect was that I went faster, and now I'm 15 minutes short for the week. Can't decide if that's a win or a fail.

That's awesome dude, big win. Sometimes some coffee and a donut just works. If I keep tossing the kettelbell throughout the week I'll keep the cardio levels - won't do anything for my legs, but smash time on the bike the heart'll be on point. Andd maybe it'll somehow HELP the back out in the process.. never know, can always be hopeful right :D
