Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I rode the trainer tonight. Since that doesn't count, it's like it never happened, right? Tell that to my legs.

They are. Leonard Floyd was fine. Kevin White might produce this year, but overall, I wouldn't bet on it.

When you have little hope, and your team drafts a QB with No. 3 causing all top QBs to go in the top 12, maybe there's hope. It's better than how it started this morning.

We got a guy named Taco. We needed pass rush, but this guy seems kinda slow to me. I sure hope we get some DB's in the next rounds, since we let almost our entire secondary walk already.

There was some discussion on whether it counts toward Strava.

Whaaaaaaaaaa?

Probably Jerry Jones overreacting to the Rodgers play that ended our season. Such a doofass!

Another closed thread, in another unnamed forum. I read the whole thing, and can't figure out why.

Just looked out my window to see a guy letting his two dogs graze on my lawn. The dogs are literally standing next to a sign that indicates that the lawn was just treated (organically, but still). wtf? I made my way to the front door to let him know that that might not be the best idea, but he moved on by the time I got there.

A lot of times the offending posts are removed pretty quickly and a thread gets locked to prevent further digressions. Especially true if they're insults or rants.

RE: Dogs and tough decisions... Ours is healthy and just turned 3, but obviously we know the day will come when things aren't so rosy. I'm just thankful my wife is more practical about big decisions, because I know I'm going to be a wreck and cannot be involved in making a choice like a few of you guys have had to make with your pets.

Oh ****,

Chad Young 'not expected to recover' from Tour of the Gila crash | Cyclingnews.com

I don't know Chad Young, but the teammate of his that was involved in the crash, Edward Anderson, is from here and I've ridden with him a few times. He just signed with Hagens Berman and I think this was his first stage race as a pro, it's gotta be horrible to go down and have one of your teammates not survive.

Thoughts with Edward and the family of Chad, bike racing has been pretty tragic lately.

If you apply the 26-27-60 rule (26+ Wonderlick, 27+ College starts, 60% plus completions) Trubinsky is a bit of a gamble.

Just misses the Wonderlick at 25, exceeds the 60% nicely at 68%,

But 13 College starts is a huge red flag, based on history.
