On the up side you got a yard full of poison ivy.

I was impressed that politics were being discussed and no ones panties got in a wad.

Someone got exiled to Trollheim. RollCNY mentioned it once.

Then I would not suggest reading any further. Just leaving him in the past with that positive image would be the kindest thing for him.

Oh, also- Congrats on the new dog!

Dang. All this is, is a gossip thread. You guys are worst than the people in the breakroom at work.

I prefer to think of it as "Addiction Nostalgia" but your description could be more accurate.

Ha! Well, all this happened in Addiction, but the faces around the campfire have changed, so what you've happened upon less gossip and more a passing on of the oral history of Addiction, fueled mostly by Seeds' slog through the thread that started it all.

Normally, this is a food thread! Have you clogged your arteries with anything yummy lately?

Damn - baby maintenance caused me to be ninja'd by datlas.

Win some, lose some. I may have inadvertently scratched my arm and then touched my eye during a ride this morning. Just winning at life these days.

How familiar are you with the new area? I feel like feel like being car-familiar with a certain area is different from being bike-familiar. For whatever reason, it takes me a while to stumble along new, better routes that I'd never noticed before, but when I do, it's one of those, "well that was dumb - why didn't I go this way before?" things.

seedsbelize 05-02-17 06:38 AM

When I was living and riding in the city, I rarely took the same routes in the car as I took on the bike. When on the bike, I always knew where I was. In the car, not so much.

Guess you missed when I posted one of my jerseys. Will go well with it:

I mean, it's just a few miles from the old place and I'm as bike-familiar with all of the area routes as one can be. Just a case of the grass always being greener. The main route I have access to is much prettier anyway, dips and turns with great views of the river and less traffic versus a straight north/south haul on mostly country roads with nothing to see. It's just a bit more up/down and stop/start than the old route.

PepeM 05-02-17 07:00 AM

Stop signs are only suggestions, or so I've heard. As for the up/downs, htfu.

Easy for you to say, I'm probably carrying the equivalent of 5 litters of kittens in comparison to you, weight-wise.

seedsbelize 05-02-17 07:06 AM

A simple case of whining, really.

I read that as five liters of kittens.

They are more easily transported in liquid form.

Yea, I'm whining. I did my new loop this morning and it was perfectly clear, 68A, nice breeze... basically ideal riding weather and spectacularly beautiful.

That's better than fighting a headwind next to a cornfield, even with the stops and traffic.

rpenmanparker 05-02-17 07:12 AM

Good morning all.

PepeM 05-02-17 07:13 AM

Comparing weight in kittens, I like it.

Speaking of, I am currently taking care of five of them and their mother. They are a sweet bunch.

So did I. Took me a minute to straighten my brain out.

I mentioned last night that I haven't been on my bike in a week. Well, this morning I rode, but on Zwift. Does it count?

PepeM 05-02-17 07:19 AM

Also, this better happen before I move out:

No kudo, though.
