I see you're trying to be rpenmandantic, but P = nRT/V, so volume certainly is in the equation anytime pressure is mentioned. :P

Not true, because the number of moles, n, isn't either specified or limited. So the pressure and volume aren't rigidly related. There is not one number of molecules that is right for all tires. Say what you will, the notion that volume has any more than an incidental relationship to inflation pressure is incorrect. Sure bigger tires have both bigger contact patches and higher volume. But it is only the size of the contact patch that is rigorously related to the required tire pressure. The volume just tags along for the ride.

While debating whether to return to the carts, I spotted my nemesis looking at TVs with his cart about 8-10' away. One quick move and I swapped carts and kept walking. :D

Never screw with an ornery old man. ;)

Chapeau!

Hi all.

First off. The Browns.

It all started out so innocently. I tell myself I can quit anytime. I will certainly not read all of it.

As a physician, I can assure you that huffing is bad for you.

So what you're saying is that volume is relevant to tire pressure in exactly the same way that contact patch size is relevant to lateral sidewall stability... which was the original topic.

It wasn't the topic I was discussing. And no, that isn't what I was saying at all. I don't know anything about lateral sidewall stability.

You're correct, I just use very little of it.

I've cut way back on that and actually drizzle a bit of my pickle juice on my salads. I guess I equate dressing with gut bomb stuff like Thousand Island, and Ranch.

Trollheim is where top shelf trolling resides. I hear some don't like it there.
