There's about eight house on Cherryvale between South Boulder Road and Marshall, closer to Marshall. Wildflower Ranch. I think each lot is about 5 acres but surrounded by hundreds of open space acres.

Dream house, but we're a couple milly short.

If you ever got serious about it, I could help you find a place.

An hour and a half of mowing in hot, humid weather feels about the same as a fast ride of that duration. I might doze.....

Following this thread... you've got to be talking about universal cycles, right?

No the place is called Outside Outfitters

Never heard that expression? Another equivalent phrase is "don't dip your pen in the company ink".

My boss used to say, "Don't screw around in your own zip code. "

Everything is special about restaurants. After all, it's where the food is kept, and food is an integral part of this little branch of the 41.

Indeed. Gorgeous area.

At least at the places I worked, it was mostly college or immediately post-college people, all relatively attractive, usually a good mix of guys/girls. That plus the tendency for restaurant people to go out together and drink after shifts means things happen. And then things get messy. Or so I'm told :innocent:

I wouldn't know anything about that. Restaurants in South Beach were not like that. :innocent:

Oh noez I forgot you lived there too. Where'd you work?

If you were ever in the Gables, I worked at a popular fish-themed restaurant/bar near the end of Miracle Mile. It was a meat market.

I can imagine. Fortunately I hardly ever headed that way, so you're safe, our paths probably never crossed (or I would have given you the look.)

I worked in a few places, mostly on Lincoln Road. Rancho Grande (of course) for a few years, with some shorter stints in a place called Maya, and another place on Washington Ave. which name I can't remember.

OK, thanks for the offer. But may be too pricey for my blood. Those prices seem to be easily double what they are around here.

I once dated the owner's sister at a family-run restaurant. That was smart of me. The funny thing was that the family's regard for me improved both when we started dating and again when we broke up. She was the only sibling in the family that didn't attend my wedding a couple years later.

I have 8000 text messages and photos to look through by tomorrow morning. I've had all week.

What kind of salsa, and what kind of chips?

Corn chips with a red, smoky salsa. Guacamole. Shrimp and chorizo tacos. Roasted sunchokes in an acho sauce.

I've never bought anything from them, but I've definitely shopped 'em; I would have thought that they were a respectable outfit.

If you were a teenager, that would be a slow day.

datlas 05-04-17 10:54 AM

I just ate some leftover blackened oven-roasted cauliflower as part of my lunch (we put it right under the broiler to get it black). It was quite good. Mrs datlas has informed me that according to her cooking/food sources, cauliflower is the "new kale," ie the latest fad superfood. I have liked it all along.

Key word search, or do you have to actually read everything?

I would, but the vagaries of BF discipline have left me gun shy. :innocent:

I like neither kale nor cauliflower.
