I'm not surprised. Even Bugs Bunny would have had trouble getting all that down. What about the pork chop that all that stuff was invented to go with?

Just say no to carbonara with cream!

Might as well call it bacon alfredo :)

:D

Pancetta, garlic, egg, pepper, and cheese.

Not sure if that is the 'real' way of doing it but that is how Ms. M taught me.

What's wrong with that? Mostly eggs but just a little cream to smooth it out.

I found it just very tragic/moving. Seemed like such a loss.

So yes, a great movie. Makes you feel something.

Even purists should add a little pasta water to loosen it up a bit.

Little splash, yeah.

Key is to not let that egg scramble. That's what happened last week.

It's like sex. No such thing as bad carbonara.

Some people are critical of the movie making him look like a martyr when he was really a very flawed guy in some ways, but I've always been a fan and his death is one of my first memories of that sport.

The thing is: we are all very flawed people. People make too much of this with sports "heroes". I don't care much what they do in their personal lives as long as they are not cheating in the sport or committing a crime.

You can be flawed and still be extraordinary. No biggie.

Honestly, I think that it was the cooking method (or non-cooking method, as they saw it). IOW, I think that it was mostly a mental aversion to the egg yolks.

Their loss! And yours, I guess.

Oh yea you lived in the area. It's similar to the route the Carytown Bikes ride will take through the east end of town, but it's a newer ride my teammate started about 4 years ago. We were on Portugee Rd by the airport when we went down.

Realize that just because someone asks a beginner's question doesn't make them a troll. Does it?

Maybe they're not a troll, maybe you're just in a foul mood or having a bad day. Maybe it's you, not them.

And maybe, just maybe everybody doesn't think just like you do or view the world just like you do. Maybe it's you, not them.

Or maybe you've forgotten you were a naive noob yourself at one time before getting all knowledgeable and sophisticated and all here on the bike forums.

Just saying . . . people are too quick to call others a troll. It's just an easy way to insult or bully somebody, many times simply because somebody don't like somebody.

Maybe you can tell, that troll thing is one of my pet peeves. :crash:

:)

I think rpenmanparker may be a troll. ;)

I grilled up some pork tenderloin last night & had some left over for today.

So: tacos.

Corn tortillas
Cheddar cheese
Pork
Pickled jalapeņos
Cilantro
Homemade pickled red onions
Homemade tomatillo salsa
Homemade pickled green cabbage

No crema for me because I'm on a diet.

Saved up my calories for a glass of wine.

It was just around the parking lot. Bedding disc brake pads on a customer's bike. :|

I don't know who you're talking about.
