I heard all the cool kids use Zwift, so probably not. But I don't use Zwift. I will confess to using Strava on the iPhone though.

I ride the Schwinn instrument free for the shear fun of riding, but I still record my rides on it with a phone or a garmin in my pocket.
It's a problem. |

The other registered woman at this stage: her Strava is more locked down. But I can get to individual ride data through her teammate's Strava.
I've got 20-25 watts on her, FTP-wise. And her watts/kg for an hour: only 2.55. In a race she did at 101% intensity. Just sayin' I'm in the mix with these two for sure. |

So on Sunday's ride I was complaining about the frustration we have had finding a reliable but inexpensive car for Hannah. One of the other cyclists mentioned he has a 2002 Maxima that he is trying to get rid of. I had my mechanic check it out, and he said it's in decent shape.
Now mrs datlas will have to talk turkey to the guy. She is one tough negotiator, I think it's a cultural thing. |

Oh, and I took a tour there in 2002. :thumb: |

I own quite a bit of 3M stock so if you get a job there, I will in effect be your boss which means that I don't want to see any posts on BF till after hours.

When you do that, you can see who else is registered. So far, two other women besides me. Registrations close Wed at midnight. I don't know either of the other two women, but of course I look them up on USAC. One of them beat me by two minutes last Nov at Santiago Cyn, the race I just did this past Sat. Yikes. Of course I Strava stalk her and she lets anyone follow her. Now I can see her data. Timing error last Nov! She really only beat me by one minute. Cool, cause I since shaved one minute off my time on that TT. Next up, I look at her bike and data. No power meter. Does not ride with HR. And she has one bike, does crits and road races, so we know its a road bike with clip-on aerobars. Equipment advantage: Heathpack. Looking up her race results, she has most success in climbing races. Ha, the State TT is totally flat. I look at her data for last Nov's Santiago Cyn TT and compare it to mine from Sat. She beat me by one minute up the climbing part. I beat her by one min on the flat/descending part. Physiology: its a draw. She's done a lot of races, she's experienced. Mostly crits and road races, so she's probably a better bike handler than me. Not that many TTs that I can find. No 40K TTs. The State TT is 40K. Experience: she has more overall, I have more TT experience. So at first glance I thought: "No way am I beating someone who had two minutes on me in an 11 mi TT last Nov." Now I am not so sure... :) |

The 3M gig, if I got it, would only be for 8 months. The department is being outsourced to Costa Rica. I would just be filling someone's space who has jumped to another department already.
Tracking told me my replacement watch was at the local post office so I took a shot and drove down to see if they would release it to me. They did. |
