Personally, I doubt the hypothesis because I think there have been enough world-class athletes whose hearts have beaten much more than the average joe's and have lived too ripe old ages. And if they do have heart trouble, it's usually through neglect of lifestyle after they have retired.

It would also imply that sedentary people should live the longest and that doesn't happen. It sounds about as likely and scientific as the methods to determine the sex of a baby (other than ultrasound). Or a playoff beard.

I've lost track, where are you now? Back in Wyoming?

datlas, do you have a way of testing how much battery life patients have left?

...it'd be  if the man weren't in charge of the country.

Now let's not prime the pump on politics...

Looks more like Arizona to me. Or Mars.

Or Wyoming, same thing.

BillyD 05-15-17 06:32 AM

That pup has GOT to have excellent night vision. Otherwise wtf, why the giant eyes?

Welcome to Texas, even if only for a few minutes.

Actually blood tests are used prior to the time when ultrasound will be reliable. My younger daughter tells us she is expecting our first male grandchild after only about 10 weeks. That kid is going to be miserable with 4 older female sisters and cousins.

I see cacti, so I'm going with Arizona.

I would be very skeptical of this. More fake medical facts IMO.

This is relatively newer technology, only used in the past few years. They can actually detect trace amounts of fetal blood in the mom's bloodstream and do DNA analysis for birth defects, etc., this is not fake medical news. It's true.

The old idea that "mother and baby's blood don't mix" is mostly true, but there is trace amount of fetal blood in mom's bloodstream.

Yep, she's 38.

So I guess golf isn't exercise.

Looks rocky.

I wore soccer sliding shorts with hip pads over my shorts for sketchy areas.

You can hardly tell they're not bike shorts.

Storelli makes them.

Yesterday, I encountered a -20% section of rutted, rocky section with curves.

It was so steep, I couldn't see the surface below.

Wasn't even sure I could walk the bike down!

I ended up 175/175 for the segment on Strava. Lol

If you walk the course I think maybe it could qualify.

What if you ride an e-assist pedigolf cart?

BTW...I was born with a VSD and AI. Back in the early 80s, when ultrasound machines were being marketed at trade shows or whatever they were, I used to get paid to be a demonstration subject. IIRC, it was $25 for a two hour session. Extra dinking money for a college kid.

And yet you HTFU and trudged out to first base nonetheless. Inspirational.

The wife was 42/43 when pregnant with the girl, so a whole battery of tests were done (CVS from the placenta, blood screening). I would imagine that tests like these will become much more commonplace as more people wait until later in life to conceive.
