Dell U2715H arrived and is plugged in for work tomorrow. Supervillain lair office is almost complete - just need to figure out the standoffs for my old monitor's VESA mounts, or some stupid way to work around needing them. Did contact LG to see if I could just buy more, but after half a decade or so, they're long gone. Lesson learned - never get a display that needs extra bits for VESA mounting.

I bought the Giro Empires. My days of fredness are counted. :(

Totally forgot what a handful this bike is. Got out on the trail without any preliminary fooling around, crashed hard and got a nasty hipper. Kept riding though.

I had my first ever cup of Peet's coffee this morning, in the airport in Houston. Way better than Starbucks. Thanks Heathpack.

P & R? I don't care, it's .
President Trump reportedly eschews exercise because he believes it drains the body’s “finite” energy resources, but experts say this argument is flawed because the human body actually becomes stronger with exercise. Trump’s views on exercise were mentioned in a New Yorker article this month and in “Trump Revealed,” The Washington Post’s 2016 biography of the president, which noted that Trump mostly gave up athletics after college because he “believed the human body was like a battery, with a finite amount of energy, which exercise only depleted.” |

@datlas, do you have a way of testing how much battery life patients have left?

There is some conjecture that the heart has a finite number of beats and when they are used up... kaput!
Personally, I doubt the hypothesis because I think there have been enough world-class athletes whose hearts have beaten much more than the average joe's and have lived too ripe old ages. And if they do have heart trouble, it's usually through neglect of lifestyle after they have retired. |
