If I had any sense, I'd be out shopping now, stocking up for the next three weeks, so I don't have to do it all tomorrow. Too damn tired though. The bike is all packed, and that's the important thing.

I rode my 39 year old bike 41 miles today. I can't believe how quiet those old drivetrains are. Smooth as silk. Unlike the C&V guys, I'm not saying the old bikes are better, just different.
I won't be giving up my carbon frame, lightweight wheels, and indexed shifting any time soon but I did enjoy the ride. |

I'm sorry you had such a crappy day yesterday, Heathpack, but the puppy will help. :) Thank you for your concern. Staph meeting all day yesterday, and we're hosting the IM Solutions, which is emission testing type stuff from all over the country, 3 hours mid Z2 after work, and then life today. :) |
Holy cow, Folks.
Just hoping some positive comes along for you all. |

Seriously, every time I left a job for another company my employer was very gracious. Farewell luncheon and get together before I left. Wait a minute. Now that I think about it, maybe they were just happy I was leaving. Never mind. |

Growing old is not for sissies. We've cancelled five bike tours this spring and early summer all due to testing and results thereof. |
To everyone who has something negative going on their lives at present:
GET WELL QUICK!!! There's bicycling riding to be done this summer! Best thoughts for full recoveries and positive outcomes. |
Well, can this balance out the mood in here?
NEW CRABON ASSPLODER WHEEL DAY!! http://i.imgur.com/s6KIEpw.jpg I even cleaned the crust off for the occasion. Still a couple of minor things to do. Might as well get new brake pads to match the new rotors, and then I need to stop at bikes plus in the morning for the new solid bar caps and a bar trim. Also, only pic I got of ALBBQ: http://i.imgur.com/vrIWL9d.jpg I literally only got to look around for like 5 minutes while walking between one meeting location and the other. Seemed like an awesome place to take a vacation, though. I haven't been to many cool high deserts like that. |
I'm sorry to hear of all the health issues affecting some of you guys and families.
I'm certainly hoping for the best and sending positive vibes your way. |

One of our patients is a little old Greek grandmother. She just brought in a huge tray of homemade balaclava, I mean, baklava.
It's fantastic. Incredible. Amazing. Wow. Kudos-worthy. |

In some ways, that tandem crash with the dog might have been a god-send... some of these things could have remained undiscovered but for the scans and other stuff that happened afterwards.
(I use the term god-send advisedly, as it has become a colloquial term rather than identifying anyone as religious). |
I checked the weather in Harrisonburg, Va. Lows in the 50s. Every time I go up there, I pack for the highs. This time I'm packing for the lows. Complete with wool beanie Dan333SP.
Here, we're having lows in the 70s. |

Neither. I have to sit with my mom in her hospital room. Talk to doctors and such. Send reports to my sisters. It's my turn.
|
I asked Mr. H if he wanted some ice cream.
"Nope," he says, "I'm making myself a mega" Haha the Mega is his dessert creation: Toasted chocolate chip brioche bread, spread with peanut butter, topped with French vanilla ice cream, sliced bananas, chocolate sauce and whipped cream. No cherry on the top because he doesn't like cherries! |
