I will have you know that Robert is now freezing his ass off in Quebec City. Poutine is okay, but it ain't good enough to put up with this kind of weather. Touring the old city today if we can keep the rain at bay.

I just had a look at Scott Dixon crashing in the Indy 500. All the handwringing about how weak CF is sort of goes out the window when you see the tub hit the wall like that, and remain intact with Dixon still inside. Forget about all the extraneous stuff that came off the edges of the car, the tub integrity was amazing.

I watched that Gordon Smiley crash when LAJ mentioned it last week. Awful (as watching someone die like that), but the crashes this year certainly do show just how far car design has come.

And Alonso... pretty good performance considering.

Chapeau! :thumb:

I have a fitness app that tells the world (followers) how much I have lost on a given day but never how much I've gained. I'll meet someone that I haven't seen in awhile and they'll look at me and comment that I should weigh about 110 instead of 210.

Coffee?! Did someone mention coffee? Be back in an espresso minute!

Kudos for Mrs Pcad.

That was in response to Herbie's sweat angel post!

I knew there had to be a miscommunication somewhere. Humidity in Phoenix is impossible, thankfully.

I think I need another, too.

Woke up at 5:30 this morning, fully intending to get out for a ride. Thunder and rain= nope, back to bed, ride postponed until this afternoon. Instead, now I'm baking banana bread and I can't decide on adding blueberries or cranberries. Decisions, decisions...

Jadesfire 05-29-17 07:23 AM

Also, Terminator Genisys- not too bad of a movie. That's pleasantly mildly surprising.

Blueberries, hands down.

rjones28 05-29-17 07:54 AM

Bananas. Banana bread has bananas. Period.

rjones28 05-29-17 07:54 AM

And walnuts. I like walnuts in banana bread, but that's it.

rjones28 05-29-17 07:55 AM

Now, I want banana bread and there's none in the house.

I agree, Rowan. It will never convince the doubters though, but that's OK. They can still cruise their Watson Roadsters.

Alonso was very good, and lived up to his hype. The Andretti Armada served him well, and he chose the team that has the golden touch, namesake drivers notwithstanding.

A rookie finished third, driving for a buy-a-ride team, with Boy Scouts of America on the side. Ed Jones had the drive of his life, and had he not had a hole in the nose of the car, he may have won.

It was a good race, with lots of different storylines, and as Dan333SP, the win, and race, was good in so many ways.

It has these as well.

It will be ready in 20 minutes. But it also has cranberries and a dash of fresh ginger.

Every now and then I click on a YouTube link to someone I'm not familiar with.

Which how-to videos are more helpful: bicycling or trumpet playing?
