On the subject of tools......More than a year ago, I was working on Mrs. Seeds bike out on the porch. The regular workers were around. When I went out a day later to continue the job, My Park Tools NP 6 needle nose pliers were nowhere. These things happen. Things disappear. A few days later, I find a third pair of ****ty lineman's pliers, and the jig is up. Great trade. I finally replaced them, this week. The grips aren't nearly as nice as the old ones but they are a sheer delight to work with. This pair will not find its way out into the public eye. let that be a lesson to you all.
Same thing happened with my Stanley hammer. A cheap **** imitation was left in trade.

When I volunteered at the bike shop, I took some birthday money and went to Harbor Freight to get a set of wrenches. I fell in love with a metric set which were unusually brightly colored i.e. the 15 is blue, the 13 is red. This made it hard for someone to walk off with one of my wrenches by mistake. I made the great error of taking them with me to the Assembly area at Walmart where I was already having even store-use tools disappear. (Seriously, I came in one morning and all the #2 screwdrivers had gone missing.) I was able to hang onto most of the set except the brilliantly purple 10mm wrench. Wouldn't you think someone would be embarrassed to be walking around with that after they stole it?

A guy I follow on Twitter just went on a rant because of the parking changes or something.

He "joked" about throwing eggs/rotten vegetables at the cyclists. :(

I had to look it up. You mean a small diameter trike or bent tire. Got it. 451 vs. 622

Rear trike tire for a Catrike Speed. Skinny little sucker.

Thanks. Amazingly, it's a local- Tucson- craft brewery which hasn't been purchased by some megaconglomerate. There are actually a lot of microbreweries down here but I'd like to visit them via tandem and that limits the amount of sampling that can take place.

What's wrong with him? Why doesn't he coal roll them like a normal person?

Save

Seriously, Velo Vol how did you start following that guy?

Why not? You people throw pit bulls at Trans Am racers, so why not eggs at crit racers?

Been following for a long time. Probably one of the local bunch I started out with. This is the first time anything he tweeted struck me wrong.

I'm guessing he's just upset about what this weekend is doing to the roads, rather than a general hatred of cyclists.

Yeah, they're headquartered here. Lots of trucks on the highways.

I have bought 6 or 7 metric wrench sets, being combination, gear wrench type, angle, etc... I can also promise you I've bought 38 10mm wrenches. They just leave.

Shhhh! You're not supposed to say that. But anyway what is a 23X451 tire.

I'd say a high pressure tyre for a recumbent. 451 is the the ERTO/ISO number of one of the two common 20" tyre sizes. The other common one is 406.

I only read the last day or two. He seems upset.

For the record, my wife was a USPro official back when pro racing was under a separate organization from amateur and didn't take any crap from some of the more prima donna pros.

She worked a few national pro championships in the late 80s, early 90s.

Must be a misunderstanding.
Maybe he intends to staff the feed zone.
