Try Spicewood Springs Road. Steepest descent I have ever done in my limited experience. I would not want to do worse.

Not sure exactly where we rode - didn't strava up. BUT, I was grabbing brakes and still managed 42mph.

The latest episode of "isn't having kids great?" is a case hand, foot and mouth that has hit all member of the house. :notamused:

Yeah, but could have been worse - no one really had the wind taken out of their sails, so it's just been annoying and gross to think about how the boy came in contact in the first place (gotta be the locker room from swim lessons).

Death Metal Monday - customer support with other telecoms. Gruuaahhhhhh.

That sucks, WhyFi. I think kids catch everything as part of the plan to get that immune system cranking. Thing is, that plan messes with Ma and Pa and the rest of the kinfolk.

I'd like to do carbon fiber on 30's as a compromise. :p

I'd go for the steel on 35's. The bike I borrowed at the beach had 38's on it, and it was a smoooooth ride. Like way better than my own hybrid running 32's.

I think we did that a few years ago.

If you think that's bad, just wait until your whole family gets "superlice" like we did last summer. Ugh, took months to get rid of it. Got it from some kid at school... you think your hygiene is good enough, but they don't call them "super" for nothing...

I keep editing this... but even as a dad of girls, I think if we ever get it again we're all just going to shave our heads right away. It's that bad.

I took half a day vacation this morning to hit the slides with my oldest daughter for a couple of hours before we had to be out of the hotel. Now I'm at work, and reek of water park. I think the kids are going back later, but my wife has to go shoot and "elopement" wedding thing in a few minutes. Literally 2 people and a priest. Gotta be the easiest wedding gig evar!

You're lookin at 24-25lbs versus 18ish to go Steel over CF.

It's the scream/growl featured in many a death-metal songs - I'm now picturing a Mad Max outlaw styled tow truck featured as an apocalyptic vehicle in said music video. His name - was Grua.

Interesting. We were at his museum today, which is also where he is buried, and I did not see any shovels...

33° and thickly cloudy, threatening rain later on. We haven't had a sunny day in memory. No complaints here.

I'm getting ready to put a suspension fork on a '78 Schwinn hi-ten road bike. No issues with the extra weight. Though I understand where you're coming from.

Priorities:

30mm CF go fast bike. Although I'm sure some will call me doofy for 30mm on a go-fast.

liquidate the alloy bike THEN

32-35mm on an all steel adventure bike that'll also hold some packs and what not.

topslop1 06-26-17 01:05 PM

Finally had someone look at my MRI: herniated disc(s). They want me to do PT.. more PT :(

seedsbelize 06-26-17 01:18 PM

I have 32s on one go fast bike, and 28s on the rest.

Well, his *real* museum with his best works is in St. Pete (USA), anyways... It was kinda connected to the USF campus when I worked there, so I went a lot.

I bought a CF go fast bike. I'm still waiting on that "go fast" bit to deliver, though. :foo:
