Sometimes its more enjoyable just to listen, rather than try to make an impression.

Loose dirt and rocks and rutted sections but really what's daunting is those uber steep little sections in the 17-20% range.

Anyway rode up the entire thing today for the second time ever. Wound up with a HR 10 bpm over threshold. Painful! But feels good to be able to do it. :)

Tomorrow we are planning on: more bikes. :) :) :)

So while I may not still not know what this thread is about. I will offer the following insights:

  • Really impressed by Heathpack, Dan333SP, LAJ, and PepeM who race/TT. Anyone after age 24 who pushes full out is beyond me.
  • I was yelled at when I became involved in my first road race about a month ago. It was quickly apparent that I was going the wrong way. Of course if there had been signs or stewards to prevent me from entering the park circuit on one of my normal routes, perhaps this would have been avoided.
  • Thanks to Pepe, I own a bike purse. Haven't used it and it will never touch my road bike, but it looks like might work for other travels.
  • One tiny lion allows me to live in my house as long as requisite treats are provided at least once per day.
  • Being from WI, Culver's cheese curds are respectable, not a bad way to be introduced.
  • Pleased to see Trnstr and wife are well recovered from last years accident.
And as long as I am allowed to post now and then, I'll try not to leave in a huff.

Welcome. Sorry to hear about that being from WI thing. :(

;)

Excellent chice. My only regret is that now they've release some even better looking ones:

I still carry the small one on every ride. It carries all my tools, makes it easy to not forget anything. The big one (aka as handlebar bag) I haven't used since the winter ended. I'm sure it will make a comeback next winter. Quite convenient for carrying different gloves, jackets, hand warmers, etc. Got to make sure you don't get too hot or, even worse, too cold during the ride.

The doglet has finally discovered the answer to the question that fills dog brains world-over: where do biscuits come from???

Answer: Harbormaster's Office. Now she waltzs right in to say Hai. And receive her tribute. I will try to get a pic if I can.
