I still don't know what the rain graphic looks like on the local news stations here.

The sun here is way bigger than it was in Wyoming :)

Scrolling up from the bottom of the page, I saw this pic and knew it was yours. I expected railroad tracks though.

Ain't it the truth! I have stopped even looking at his threads.

I don't get it. And I don't get Twitter either.

seedsbelize 06-29-17 06:22 AM

Those are filters, supposedly cleaning the air? It was the graphics that threw me for a loop; I didn't realize it was graphics.

seedsbelize 06-29-17 06:24 AM

That's some serious smog.

That was my interpretation of it.

Volvo, Mitsu, BMW had scrubber radiators that were supposed to reduce NOx. Instead, it just turns into a giant pita for the owners that are trying to pass an OBD II emission test.

Carbon credits. Gotta love em.

Hot or not??

(guy wants $2k, with Di2 10sp, power tap, carbon wheels)...

He's showing it to someone right now and I'm out of town on Friday until next Thursday. Told him if it doesn't sell today he can knock the price down to $1600 and throw it my way. :p

Yes. Shopping around for Physical Therapy right now. This isn't a new development, just one I've tolerated for way too long.

Orphaned! Why did they go and do that? Arg.

That's their normal way, not just them, but most component manufacturers. I have a 9 speed SRAM drivetrain on a bike with twist shifters that I can't twist due to multiple shoulder injuries and want to change them to 10 speed indexing bar ends.

So, I have SRAM 10 speed TT 500 shifters and a set of DA bar ends, chains and cassettes. All I need is a 10 speed compatible rear derailleur for either set of shifters. I've scoured local shops to no avail unless I want to spend $300+ for a Red or DA derailleur. So, off to eBay. A lot of used stuff and some new, mainly from overseas suppliers or the shipping date was two weeks out or some other reason I was having trouble finding what I want.

Finally, a local shop called me and said they found a new 105 GS mixed in with some other stuff so I got it for $50 and I'm happy. The guy mentioned that I was lucky I didn't need 10 speed Di2 or I'd still be looking. ;)

Probably end up with new Giant and or Canyon as homeboy has a buyer already lined up. Good news is that sets me up for 30-32's and discs on the new bike. Bad news; missing out on some goodies.

I used CORE Physical Medicine in Coppell. They have an Irving location as well on MacArthur right by the In-n-out.

Not sure they're the cheapest. Progressive complained about the cost, but my health insurance didn't bat an eye after that.

I'm confused. I can find 10 speed mechanical all day long, but I do agree on the electric. I have a spare nearly new front and rear 6770 set that's actually worth its weight in gold nowadays. I'm almost tempted to go to 11 speed and sell all that stuff to finance the change, with money left over.

I'm forever glad I have nothing newer than '92. And mostly I use friction downtube shifting. You guys are entertaining though.

As long as your happy. :thumb:

I'm forever glad that the only bike I have with downtube shifting is hanging upside down in my garage. Now get back on that bike made out of palm trees and coconuts, and start pedaling, because I gotta know there's no electrical wires running to your house.

There will be another. Probably not in your size, but there *will* be another.

jtaylor996 06-29-17 01:59 PM

So there was one casualty from my EPIC crash the other day. Tore broke the buckle on my SIDI's. It's a shame the buckles are so expensive on amazon ($25) that I had to get them from competitive cyclist ($12) and then add another $38 of stuff on been-meaning-to-get to my cart to get the free shipping.

Also, I think maybe my rear shock is leaking oil. That's not related to the crash, just time for a rebuild. Was major disappoint when CC didn't have the kit :(
