Poor Jones off the bike. Nothing to do now but lie around and build muscle.

GP referral to robot day in 5 weeks. Is that fast?

I'll be doing a lot of this over the next 8 weeks:

That's how I roll. Mrs BD says once she elected to be semi-awake for a colonoscopy procedure, and she favored the awareness. Nyet, not for BillyD. I don't want to know nothing (dbl neg) until it's time to eat.

That's awful, but it's a lose-lose discussion...

The only way to save the marriage is to keep the cycling clothes in a separate hamper that only YOU wash.

Ouch

Does Mrs RJ know you'll be enjoying the company of a platinum blond? Ballsy.

Nice pic.

Oh well, at least the rotor is now unbent - that was easy. I wonder what level of true I should chase, though... overall, there's probably 0.5mm of space between the rotor and pads, and I can juuuuust see the sliver of light between them squeeze a little tighter at one point.

My standard is, until it doesn't touch the brake pad.

This is how I feel about my iPad. I'd say the majority of my posts are either from my desktop at work or my phone while around the house. The ipad is better for browsing, but the spacing of the letters on the virtual keyboard makes typing awkwardly slow. I'd say I can type as quickly on the phone subject to a bit of autocorrect as I can on my PC.

There's gotta be some kind of split keyboard mod/app/setting for this kind of stuff, no?

Dan333SP 04-15-17 09:26 AM

Oh, and my friend that interviewed with me apparently got an offer when they called him last evening. They are hiring a lot of people so his offer doesn't really say anything about whether I will receive one, but that is good news because if I do end up working there I can work with someone I already know pretty well.

I wonder how many here use their cell as their main internet device.

Personally I'm 50% desktop computer and 50% iPad. Very, very rarely do I use the cell.

This reminds me...

The stack of sticky notes at the top of the 41 is an annoyance on the mobile layout and totally unnecessary.

Scroll scroll scroll every time you hit the page.

Can you remove them please? Except for one of Tom's, rest his soul.

General gets by just fine without all the stickies.

Maybe, but it's really the width of the device. My thumbs can reach across to either edge of the phone screen when I hold it for posting, but the iPad is too wide.

Hard to picture a phone's keyboard spacing being favored over a tablet's spacing. :foo:

Could it be you just unconsciously prefer the convenience and mobility of the phone, since it's easier to slip into the pocket?

Thanks. Went smoothly.

I was ready to gtfo of there, after my first lap around the ward (I did 2, natch). But they kept me for another couple of hours. :notamused:

I was going to ask about pulsing while braking, but then I realized that I didn't feel pulsing even when a section was touching the pad. :foo:

No Strava. I left my electronics at home.

A new Honda Accord needs about 115 feet.

False comparison.

Who the hell drives 60 in one of these? Lol

Not understanding - I'm talking about just having half of a keyboard in each of the lower corners so that it's not a such a big stretch for the thumbs to reach the letters that reside in the middle of the kb, in particular. Are you talking about posting one-handed or something? Or just clicking mid-screen links?

BillyD 04-15-17 09:34 AM

I'm totally just killing time this morning, procrastinating so maybe the yard work will get done by itself.

Time off the bike can be used for other things...

I'm sure it's possible to have a split keyboard that would allow each thumb to reach what it needs to reach, but it would require a bit of retraining. As it is, I hold the phone with both hands and use both thumbs to type, as I'm pressing one letter the other thumb is sometimes crossing over to press the next letter on the opposite side of the screen. If you can visualize that. Splitting the keyboard would prevent me from doing that.
