Thanks again All Y'All! 35 mph corner in the aero bars, so it really could have been really bad. I first thought I hit so hard I dropped the chain, so I unraveled that, got it back on the rings, and took off. That's when I realized the there was a flat too. My 30 second guy that I passed still hadn't caught back up, so I think I was motoring. Weird, the hub also seems to be locked up, which is why the chain dropped. It's sort of like a fixed gear until I loosen the skewer, then it freewheels, so who knows what else I did. It's a DT 240, so unusual for a malfunction, unless you go four wheeling on a TT bike.

The crit, I turned myself inside out, which was the goal. Google Norm Alvis. He's the fellow that likes to beat up on us little old Cat 3's :) Still alive, so it was a wonderful day.

Some carbon fiber for you all.

Not so much. Just old. Used to eat beans by the bushel. Never liked Indian food though. Could be because my first taste of it was made by a newlywed Indian lady who had no idea what she was doing.

By the time they are ready to take the scalpel to them, they won't be sensing much particularly well.

Yes there are but we rode with our local group today who decided to ride from Dunlap which is North of Peoria. The first 10 miles rolled on our route but the last 25 were purgatory.

Anyone know if UnfilteredDregs is ok? He has been offline for awhile.

I couldn't wait to get my cataracts fixed. The week before I was to have my first one done (right), I experienced a retinal hemorrhage in the left eye and went blind in it. I had to have a vitrectomy (Google that surgery) so they did the left one first. I was supposed to get bifocal lenses inserted but the left eye structure was too weak after the vitrectomy for the bifocal lens (extra hooks) so they had to insert a fixed lens (fewer hooks).

I started wearing glasses at 8 years and was near-sighted but now, I'm far-sighted and must wear cheaters. When I was still near-sighted I could squint and read but no more. :(

Still, 20-20 for anything over about 5' is fine with me.

Kudos. For the ride, not the knacker.

Got a new mower today! Get to return it tomorrow!

It's a Ryobi battery powered 20in mower. Charged the battery fully but the damn thing cuts off after 10-30 seconds of running no matter what. Just holding it in place with no load on it and the deck height at max, it'll just stop for no reason. Assuming that there is a short in it somewhere. Not feeling confident about an exchange for the same model.

Geez - what kind of asshat would recommend a piece o' crap like that?

You have to sharpen them.

Here anything close is mostly the same. There are flatter roads and hillier roads, but the overall terrain is rolling hills.

Your bike looks more like the space shuttle sitting in the truck... at least on my phone it does.

On my evening walk I saw that a kid (presumably) had written "I love April the giraffe" on her sidewalk.

No. In my family it means clay consistency, not clay color. Pasty.
